The mat itself is nice -- it's wider than most mats, it did not smell and so I was happy with that. The no slip feature was also as described.However, I researched long and hard to find a thicker and softer mat. This mat was described as thick and in the Q&A was stated at 1"thick. It is nowhere near 1" thick -- so if that is your main criteria --I would pass. Given the cost of the mat -- the no-skid and no smell alone is not worth the huge difference in price compared to a mat of the same thickness you can get at any TJ Maxx.

It’s expensive, but worth it. I’m thin. When I do crunches with other advertised padded mats, my spine and tailbone can still feel the floor, which is uncomfortable and prevents me from exercising in proper form. On the other hand, I’ve had mats that are so thick and foamy that I feel unstable when I stand to do squats or jumping jacks. I need a mat that’s padded enough for my joints when I do ab exercises or am on my knees, but thin enough so I can do squats and jump around doing cardio without losing my balance. This is the perfect mat that provides cushion and stability! I do not feel it slip when doing cardio. It’s also easy to clean. The only con is it’s not non-slip on the top. When I do a push up and my hands are sweaty, my hands do slip. I just wear workout gloves which solves the problem. This is the best mat I have tried for Pilates. No need to search anymore!Edit: At the time of purchase, the pink mat was $69.99. I think higher than that is greedy.

So happy with my purchase. I bought this mat because I do both yoga and weight bearing floor exercises. It's a bit bigger than a standard yoga mat - good. It's way more cushioned than a standard yoga mat - outstanding! I am able to do exercises that require me to be on my hands, or elbows, and knees without pain. The mat has just the right amount of padding so it doesn't interfere with balance. Best of all - zero odor. If you are looking for a great mat that will cradle your joints and not drive you from your home - you've found it.

Great mat. Well made. Roughly 1/2 inch thick. Soft but not too soft. I'm not feeling the 'stickiness' reported by some reviewers. Delivered promptly.One nit I'll pick - whoever packaged it used sticky cellophane tape, which stuck to the mat inside the box, so when I sliced the tape with a small razor knife I also sliced into the top surface of the mat. So it goes.

This mat sticks to the bare skin therefore every time you make certain movements it makes noise, like pulling off packing tape from your hand. I thought and hoped it’ll wear off soon but by the time I gave up hope, it was over 30 days limited return or exchange period. Sadly I was wasted $68.89.
