fits well at first - but doesn't survive the test of time...
I was very happy with this keyboard protector until it started to get warped in the center (please see my photo). Sadly, the hump that's formed over the space bar and center portion of the keyboard slows down my typing significantly and I think I'll have to either find a way to shrink the cover or throw it in the trash :(Note: if your cover does get stretched out, there are verified methods to shrink silicone via submersion in boiling water for 5-10 min. Give it a try before adding more garbage to the landfill!

Works well BUT...
I really want to love this but I have a huge complaint, but first lets go over the good parts. It works well on keeping liquids and hairs off of your Mac and it makes the keys softer so your fingers are pressing rubber instead of a hard plastic. Really easy to take off and put back on. My biggest complaint is the keys cannot be seen when you have the lights on your Mac keys turned on. This is really annoying and I will take this off at night when I need to see my keys and want to work in the dark. This would be great if the keys were see through and I would recommend the manufacturer fix this problem.

Going in the garbage ....
What Did I Like:It came quickly. Now lets move onto .....Why I threw mine in the garbage ....Only lines up with certain keys. It makes typing difficult.Moves around all over the place you have to keep stopping what your doing and fix it or remove it.It leaves marks ALL over my computer screen. My laptop does not fully shut.It has been almost exactly a month and the pink color is coming off already.

It doesn't fit the keyboard as described and you can't close computer. Don't buy
We bought this for my son's computer. A MacBook Pro 13 without Retina display (as stated in the description). We didn't try it out right on arrival since it was for my son who was out of the country and couldn't return (due to the virus). Now that he is back, we found out that the keyboard does not fit 100%. If you try to align the letter keys, the top row (F keys) will not line up, also the bottom row is getting kind of funky. Also, the arrow keys don't match ins size at all. The MacBook has two regular sized arrow keys, going right and left, and two half-size keys going up and down. The silicone keyboard's arrow keys are all half key sizes and don't match. Can you type with it? I guess you can, it is a bit awkward since it feels there is air trapped between the keys and the silicone keypad. It feels bouncy and a bit sticky. Once more thing, since the silicone keyboard doesn't fit 100%, you can't close the MacBook correctly. You have to remove the silicone keyboard to do so, which in my view is a big hassle. So, now we have a keyboard protection, that feels funny to the touch while typing, doesn't match the keys, and that we have to remove when closing the computer. Not what we wanted, really. So, I should have sent this back. However, my son was out of the country and couldn't return until just now due to the virus, so we didn't even open it and try it out in time to do so. Unfortunate.

It's a mixed bag
I love how the rose gold softens the look of my mac, and the fit is good. It's really rose gold, too. For me, it doesn't affect my typing speed at all, and in fact, I like the feel of the keys better with it on. One problem has started to crop up: I'm getting grey patches, similar to what another reviewer described. I don't think it's rubbing away the color on mine, so much as, that's where I'm pressing the most and it seems to change adherance to the keys. I can see that eventually, the color will be annoyingly uneven. I was getting a little pissy about it this morning, but then I had a coffee mishap, and the thing really did its job. I just shook it off and dried it, no harm to the equipment, so it is forgiven. Even if the looks fade, it works for keyboard protection.ETA: A few months later, and I'm happier with it than I was at first. The key colors are not degrading. I like how it keeps the keyboard clean and protects it from cat claws. For those who find the printed letters don't line up with those on the actual keys, I've found that gently running my hand over it a few times takes care of that problem. I like this thing a lot and would buy it again.

Reduces Pain & fatigue from typing — BUT it's a consumable/disposable item.
TLDR: If you want something shock-absorbing for your keyboard (similar to shock-absorbing gel insoles for shoes), I highly recommend this item. It also gives some protection to your keyboard re: crumbs and small spills. However, it needs to be replaced frequently, so go into your purchase understanding this as a consumable item.I adore this keyboard cover for reducing the impact on my fingers when I'm typing. I have severe arthritis, and it absorbs shock to make it less damaging to my joints and less painful. It's like the equivalent of shock-absorbing shoe inserts... but for your keyboard. I can type for much longer periods of time using this cover. It also prevents crumbs, dust, small spills, etc. from getting into the keyboard. This isn't the primary reason I use it, but sure, it does this too.But you MUST have realistic expectations: this is a disposable/consumable item.My fingers fall very hard on the keys, so I tear these up rather quickly. When they're brand new, they fit like a custom glove on the keyboard of my MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2010). However, they become wavy, bubbly, torn, etc. relatively fast. Ideally, I'd be replacing these every month or so, but I make them last longer because I can keep typing when they're wavy/bubbly and the letters are completely non-visible.How often you need to replace the cover will depend on your personal typing style. I type very hard and fast, so they get beaten up quickly.

Not suitable for UK keyboard
I wish I had seen my own headline before I'd purchased this for my daughter! This layout is designed for a US keyboard. Unfortunately, the cost of returning it for a refund was £5.55 (more than the value of the product!) so I've had to just accept that my daughter sent me the wrong link and take a hit. I've since purchased the correct one for a UK keyboard that you have to buy with a cover, so more expensive. As far as the quality of the cover goes, I can still comment as I already have the same brand myself on a different model. It's very slim and sits really easily on the keys. I'm a fast touch typist and though it does mean I have to hit the keys a little harder than without the cover, this is preferable to taking my MacBook Pro back to the Apple store to have a completely new keyboard fitted because of debris beneath damaging the components. Without cover that would have cost me around £1000. So, to me it is worth pressing a little harder on the keys! These covers come in really subtle colours and have a pleasant matt feel. It can be whipped off instantly for cleaning and grips straight back on to the keys without fuss. Importantly, it doesn't leave marks on the screen after being closed. Despite my mis-order I would highly recommend to those with a US keyboard!

Stretched after 2 weeks of use
When I started to use, I was so happy because it was thin enough not to feel uncomfortable to type. Another keyboard cover that I was using before this product was so thick and didn’t like it at all. That’s why I decided to buy this.BUT, after using just a week, this cover started to stretch. Now it’s extra stretched after 2 weeks of use. (As picture shown)What you paid, what you get. But I didn’t expect this was gonna happen so soon.I decided to return... I can’t use like this anymore.

great for long nail ladies
I bought this after typing on my friend's computer who had one. I love that it silences the loud clicking noises from the keyboard but most of all, I really enjoy how much easier it is for me to type with having longer nails. it fits very well on my keyboard I do recommend cleaning before putting this down and try to avoid taking it off and putting back on. I don't have the overstretched issue like many others - fits my Macbook Pro 2015 perfectly. One downside is to getting this (unless it's completely transparent) is the light on the keys does not work since it's not see through.edit JAN 2021: so I had to take my macbook into the Apple store for servicing and they peeled this off cover and it has never been the same ever since. I'm having the same issues as everyone else with it no longer sitting flat on my keyboard and bubbling all over.

Average for a non lighted keyboard
This is a review for the Solid blue version.I will review this for a non-backlit keyboard first. The typing experience is less than ideal with this cover, the feel and texture of the material is not as sleek as I would like.Your personal preference will come into play here. The colour is nice and give a little life to my keyboard .The one thing that i do feel confident about here is that this cover will protect the keyboard form dust/crumbs and minimal liquid spills/drops. this does not make the keyboard impermeable to liquid. If water goes to the edge of the cover, it will drip into the keyboard. If you intend to use this cover on a backlit keyboard, do not get it. The colour blocks out all of the light.TLDR: It is an okay cover, but will block out a keyboard backlight

Great product to protect your keyboard on laptop
I’m very pleased with the product. I chose the black one so that I could see the letters on the keyboard, because of my short distance eye sight. I was surprised it was packaged well and that to me indicates it is an excellent product as well. I had one before for my older MacBook Pro and it certainly made a difference protecting the keyboard. Personality this is a must have. Shipping was fast
