So far so good. This stuff sticks and self-heals around screws and nails as advertised. I removed a rather complex three-piece bay window that was built in 1938. I replaced any damaged wood and sealed the entire framing and three new sills with Typar . When the two casement windows and the fixed center were installed and flashed I flooded the area with water every day for a week. Not one leak. The two-piece backing tape is perfect for installing around windows or over trimmed-out areas where it needs to be folded. The backing is a bit tricky to get started...not an issue, just a moment needing young eyes and good fingernails. For me, this tape is well worth any premium paid over cost of generic flashing at big box stores. It seals and is easy to work with.

This stuff is sticky
The Typar is my go-to for flashing windows and other exterior openings. It is more forgiving than some other flashing tapes, but still has an affinity to stick to itself. Holds up well to sun exposure and weather.

Flexible and seemed like a quality product
Flexible and seemed like a quality product. Applied to vinyl window/OSB/Tyvek at 40 degrees Fahrenheit with 3M 77 adhesive just to make sure it stuck. Everything seemed to stick well, I even rolled with a 6" roller multiple times and added a few staples in the flex sill - perfect but come the next morning the portion of OSB between the vinyl nail flange or the window and Tyvek had let go. I rolled it again and it seemed to adhere, an hour later it had let go. NOT as advertised, have to staple to get it to "stick" to OSB. This is new construction and clean OSB, no dirt, no water, no oil and 40 degrees. It does not stick to OSB, I thought maybe the 3M 77 was the issue, wrong, tried it without, same results. Not a fan but I have 6 rolls to complete this house with. I am having to staple every 4 inches to "adhere" to the OSB. Even the 9" flex Typar I applied to the 2X6 sills are releasing somewhat. Again, this is a totally new build, we haven't had any moisture for two weeks and the temp as stated was 40 the first day and 42 on the follow up day when I did not apply 3M 77 as a primer - no change. Not for cool weather as advertised. I don't write reviews but this is not what was promised.
