Sadly, this ice press didn't come with instructions, so it was time consuming figuring out how to use it. It's best to place a tray under the entire press so it will catch the excess water, as shown above. There are two prongs with four holes. I found that the right prong fits the back hole, and the left prong fits the front hole. If you don't insert them this way, they won't fit and you'll be struggling thinking this thing is defective. Place your block of ice in the diamond slot and let the press do its thing. This entire press is heavy so don't put your hands where the ice goes because the top might slam on you. If you want clear ice diamonds, as shown above, then you must freeze the water in a special way to get clear ice. Amazon sells plenty of clear ice gadgets if you prefer. Otherwise, tap water freezing will produce cloudy ice diamonds as shown in my photo above. This thing makes an ice diamond slowly by pressing the block of ice until it reaches completion in about a minute, depending on the size of your ice block. It truly makes a beautiful diamond shape ice cube if done correctly.

The biggest problem with this beautifully crafted device is that it really needs 3“ x 3“ x 3“ ice to make the diamonds. I have been unable to find molds that make ice that size And the whole make your own ice with a cooler in your freezer scheme is super annoying and messy. This would be a fantastic problem if it was accompanied by a clear ice mold that was 3” x 3” x 3”. Or at least the company should sell molds that are that size. Because if you can’t get the raw material to put into it, as beautiful as it is, it really isn’t very useful.

Ice Press arrived early (well ahead of forecasted delivery date). Appears to be very well made and it works very well. I've made about 20 ice diamonds with it. Especially appreciate that this is quite large (for heat dissipation) so that it quickly forms the diamond (without having to keep it warm somehow).Min ice cube width/length: 65mmMax ice cube width/length: 83mmNot sure about height. Measured size of ice diamond is 60mm (after formed), but I'd assume that it won't work well if you used a 65x65x65mm cube. Remember that melting occurs in all 3 dimensions and it is hard to judge how quickly each dimension melts compared to the other dimensions.Seller indicates 3 inch (76mm) cube is best. I tend to agree.
