After having some minor issues and posting so here, I recieved an immediate response, not only that, they sent me a new replacement set in less than 24 hrs. As stated before this is a really nice set and I have completed a few projects with satisfaction. Colors beautiful, blending,shading good. Color me impressed and Thank You Colorarty/Amazon!

This was my first set of water color pencils, since purchasing these I have tried other sets looking for more colors but I always go back to these. The quality and vibrant colors when used with water are unsurpassed. The pencils are sharpened to a fine point when you first get them and they hold that shape very well even when used with water, this makes them perfect for fine details in many pictures in the adult coloring books I've purchased, and they come with their own sharpener and eraser. They come in a nicely made sturdy roll up case making them easy to carry if you move from inside to out or room to room as I often do. I don't write many reviews, hardly any actually, but this company has amazed me over and over with their impeccable customer service, from emailing instructions on how to keep your pencils in good shape, different ways of using the case, to explanations on the best ways to hold and use the pencils to get the best color possible. They clearly care about the customer and their product. I could go on and on about the company, it's important, but people should know that the pencils are great used dry or with water Though once you've used them with water it is hard to go back to using them dry. have recommended this product to many friends already and will continue to do so, it's great!

I LOVE these pencils. I have been a pastel and oil artist for years and am relatively new to pencil art, I bought these mainly for control in watercolor art and these are exemplary for that.I am exceedingly pleased with the color variety and I also like that they layer really well. I am currently working on a piece that has pastels, charcoals and your pencils integrated. So far no problems. The pencils take to the tooth of all papers I've tried them on without much trouble and I've even tried them on some stretched canvas while using water with them. These are great pencils and will be a staple in my art studio from now on!Tamara

This was the PERFECT gift for my daughter! She's already a great artist but has little experience with watercolor and this set was excellent for her. She loved that it rolled up and she could take it places with her and her sketch bad. Her favorite is the pencil extender! So many times her favorite color whittles down and she can no longer hold it - now that's not an issue. Additionally - the customer service we received was unlike any I've had in my years of amazon shopping. They were so thorough with follow up, provided great pro tips on watercolors and the tools and even offered to troubleshoot if she had any issues. So happy with this purchase! I would highly recommend this set for tweens and adults with a passion for art.

I would like to update my previous review of beautiful compact watercolor pencil set. First off I would like to say that the canvas carrying case is perfect for taking your project with you wherever you go. I now have the brown and now the pink. Due to a few imperfections in my first set they were gracious enough to replace them in the new pink canvas bag. You will love many hours of creating and relaxing. The company also offers some how to tips.

I really do like this kit but, the colors do not blend well. I tried three different brushes. I’m not sure if there is a trick to do with these pencils or not but I have 14 different name brands of colored pencils in a few of them do the same thing. The colors are beautiful

This is an outstanding product. I normally buy professional quality art supplies but really did not want to spend $75-$100 on water color pencils. These come with in wonderful shades of colors - several shades of blues, purples, greens, reds, yellows, orange, brown, black. They color smoothly and have bright, vivid color when wet with a paintbrush. For more intense color, use a wet paint brush to pick up the color at the tip of the pencil and paint with that. The assortment of colors is really enough to make you feel not limited when you color and of course you can layer different colors.It comes with a holder to extend the pencil when you get down to a small nub, sharpener and eraser. It comes with 2 very thin, cheap paint brushes. You should get your own. My brush of choice is flat but cut diagonally at an angle. The bristles are not too soft, so that way you can pick up the color from the tip of the pencil more easily. To make it easier for yourself if you want to color in a more portable way, look for "water color brush pen" which is a plastic hollow pen that you fill with water and can use like a brush. You will want a set with a fine point.The case does roll up nicely and the set is not too heavy for packing on taking on a trip.

These are smooth, blendable watercolor pencils. Nice range of colors and great case. I love the sharpener and happy it has an extender, the brushes I'm not so pleased with, but that is the least of the entire package. You also get an ebook to begin your watercolor experience.
