Both flavors taste great. Love that Krave jerky is more tender than other brands I’ve tried. Not grizzly at all. Win-win!

A vile, vile flavor. Generic smoky jerky smell, the very first taste is fine, but it quickly becomes repulsive. I couldn't finish a piece the size of my thumb, even after taking a break and trying again later. Just.. no. (Krave has other good flavors, but skip this one unless you're curious what moldy toe jam tastes like.

Delicious and sugar free! Great little protein snack. Easy to pack.

It’s okay as just jerky except that it is very salty and doesn’t make me think of any kind of barbecue.

Good tasting no sugar added as it should be. Why would you want sugar on your meat anyway????

I've had this product from numerous grocery stores and it is always tender and delicious. Despite being within the use by date, this product arrived hard as a brick. It is completely inedible; it hurt my canines just even attempting to take a bite. This is the second Krave jerky product ordered on Amazon to have this result and returns are not allowed. Very disappointing.

UPDATE : I was contacted by a representative from Krave who thought I might have gotten an extra salty batch. They sent me a new batch to try, and I can confirm the new batch tasted great! It was just spicy enough to clear my sinuses, which is the kind of heat I like! Not overly salty either! Texture was nice and on the tender side, easy to chew even on thick pieces. I really like that there is no sugar in the jerky. I can definitely see myself ordering more. I also tried the Sonoma Barbeque which was delicious! Additionally, I appreciate the excellent customer service, how the issue was addressed promptly, overall professionalism, and that the company cares about the quality of their product.Older review:I was excited to try this, but was overwhelmed by the salt. I like hatch chilis, and the heat in this is great, but the spicy flavor is secondary to the salt. This was my first time trying jerky from Krave, and I'm not sure if all their jerky is like this, but I compared their sodium levels to the other jerky brand I typically get and they have twice as much sodium as the other brand. I like the texture of the jerky as it isn't too tough, as well. I would probably have really enjoyed this if the salt wasn't such a dominating flavor.

I've heavily eaten all sorts of meat jerky the last five years since going low carb. So I do understand the texture and toughness of normal jerky. This stuff is darn near inedible due to how tough it is. I mean, it, you could probably break a tooth on this stuff. It's a shame because the flavor is really good but I ended up tossing the rest of the bag after a few bites because of how absolutely ridiculously tough it is.
