Great postcards for painting and drawing!
The watercolour paper is excellent quality. It holds the water really well and doesn't warp. It's 140lbs or 300gsm, (my favourite gsm and weight) so it has some strength to it, and it would be perfect for Watercolours, Acrylics, ink, pencils etc. The card is lightly textured. I love that the corners are rounded, and although the description says they're ''yellow'', I'd more call them gently off white. The back side of the postcards look like 'postcards'. On the one half of the back, it's blank for you to write your message. and the other half has the lines on which you can write the address that the postcard is going to. I wanted these to use for watercolour and ink, and send them out to people to make them smile. I also wanted to use them as card fronts for Christmas Cards. The size is as you would expect from a postcard, so they'd be brilliant to attach to the front of a blank card (available from all sorts of crafty places including amazon). They're GREAT value for money and excellent for all sorts of things from just painting and drawing, to even invitations to all sorts of functions. Oh ... and the tin they come in is brilliant for storage of any cards which have been painted or drawn on! Just make sure they're totally dry before you pop them into the tin!

Good Quality
These are exactly what I was expected - lovely tin of watercolour postcards (basic pre-print on one side). Perfect for watercolour doodling. Good value.

Quality watercolour postcards
Lovely quality watercolour paper postcards with rounded corners. 140lb, so sturdy paper which will not require stretching. Reverse has lines for address and message. Come in a sturdy useful tin. I will be using these to make Christmas and seasonal painted greetings. Very pleased with item.

Good quality
These are nice. A great way to capture a piece of art. You can share, or just store in the box. Use some waterproofing wax if you intend to post.

Very nice but a little pricey
I’m just getting into water colours. The product only arrived today so I have not even tried them yet so I can’t comment on things like absorbency. I wanted these to form a little travel kit. The tin is attractive and arrived with no dents or scratches, and there is a foam layer inside the tin to stop the cards rattling around (but can also be removed if you need more space). I have given 4 stars because it still just instinctively feels a little pricey (10 quid) for essentially just 24 blank postcards. Even if the card is really good, when you compare it to the price of other watercolour pads of similar weight paper, it feels a bit expensive. Ok, so you get a tin but still, £8 feels like it might have been more appropriate.

I had a lot of fun with a children’s watercolor postcard set, so I bought these to try using “grown up” watercolor postcards. This is my first time using “real” watercolor paper, and the 300gsm paper makes a big difference! The postcard size is perfect for small projects/illustrations. The paper is very textured, so I don’t think I would use it with markers/pen drawings as much, but the texture adds a charming effect to watercolors! The cards were slightly curved after drying, but not in a rippled way like when you use a lower paper weight. I like that the postcards don’t have any branding info/extra text on the back, although it would be nice to have more space for the message than for the address. I haven’t mailed any of my cards out yet, but I expect them to hold up well, since they’re much sturdier/thicker than most souvenir postcards. The metal tin is about an inch thick, and makes it easier to protect and carry your cards (when dry).

Very good quality and affordable price. The paper has two sides: smooth and textured I use the textured side for coloring and the smoother side to take notes about my painting.

I absolutely LOVE these! I just ordered my second box, and I’ll be ordering a third very soon. The paper texture is wonderful. The thickness is good, you can be slightly heavy with watercolor, but tape the edges down to prevent buckling, other than that there is minimal if any buckling. They work great with gouache, watercolor and sketch. I sell mine, so I even put 2-3 coats of Kamar varnish on to protect the painting and they still will send through the mail just fine. Whether you are a beginner or a professional these are great, but I wouldn’t want to “just play around” with these, if you want a sketch pad buy a sketch pad.
