Stargate SG-1: Survival of the Fittest

Not as engaging as some of the other titles in the series.
Not bad plot but nothing standout; not a bad read but I wouldn't be rushing out to get a copy!

Spitze

Totally in character, epic SG-1 book!!!
Takes place just after S05E19 (Jack kills Reese) and just before Jonas joins the team.Fantastic writing, pace clips along super well, and everyone is in character. Notably, we get to see Janet, Hammond, Bra'tac, and Maybourne in the field with SG-1. Nirtti is as evil as always. Really, really great book. Super believable. Characters are superbly written. If you want more SG-1, buy this book.

There were several scenes I particularly enjoyed, but overall
I am a big fan of Stargate SG-1, but I couldn't seem to get into this novel. The writing is well-done, and the characterizations of Daniel, Jack, Carter, and Teal'c are spot on. There were several scenes I particularly enjoyed, but overall, I just wasn't a big fan of the plot.

Best Stargate Author Yet
I read the first few Stargate SG-1 novels that were released and almost never picked up another one. The author wrote from the movie and just never seemed to connect to her story. Ms. Bauer is obviously a fan of the television series. I thought the characters were right on target. A really well done novel, and I hope to read more from her.
