For the money, superb. I mounted mine on a short length of wood to stop it spinning. Hose on each end, feed end bare, exit end with a hozelock adapter. I slip teh feed end on the end of my water butt tap and it empties a 200l butt in around 15 mins. It's good enough to power a lawn sprinker, albeing fairly low range. I've used it to empy a flooded ditch, fill my two fish ponds. I think I've emptied both butts twice, plus the flooded ditch, still working fine.

This pumps works really well, once you get it working. We needed to take it apart and remove some of the grease that was inside as it was blocking the pipe holes and preventing the inside turning. It does need greasing after use too, so that it can all continue to turn against the side casing.

Our home heating oil tank split with old age and luckily we managed to patch the crack and stop the spillage. However it needed emptying for new tank and with over 600 litres left we were stuck. Found this small device and for the price I decided it's worth a punt. Not only is it really easy to assemble but it emptied my tank and then refilled the new one. Just try to find a hose that has a decent wide circumference as we first started with a standard old garden hose and the pressure was maybe to much and did drip leak alittle. But we found a hose with a wider circumference and no issue at all with the flow. A real bargain and pulled me out of a tight spot and for price you can't go wrong. Might never have to use it again but it's there if needed.

Complete garbage. Didn't pump a single drop of water. Bought to empty a fish tank, so not a big job. Two pieces of 1m hose, so no distance. Only thing that came out was the bits as the rubber insides crumbled.

Works well, but gets 'loose' after a while and starts leaking. Get what you pay for really.

I use this pump to pump diesel with and it empties a 25 liter drum quickly with my little battery drill. Very good bit of kit for use whoever you are especially if you don't have access to electric to power a normal pump. One thing to note though is it is a 19mm diameter pipe, not standard hose so I had to get some pipe to fit and finding the correct size was impossible where I live without ordering online. No biggie though, the larger diameter also means faster flow.

You need to mount this on a solid piece of wood. You then need to build a raised section for the discrepency of the drill's width when placed flat sideways. Once fixed to wood using the brackets supplied this one wobbles back and forth - it's not solid. It doesn't take standard hosepipe (1/2", 12.5mm) to use with the hose clips supplied, it needs 3/4" hose. I needed to lift standing water about 1m, it worked for a bit, then stopped, then worked for another bit, then stopped and then stopped... I think a lot of these are pretty much the same, however I might get the Wolfcraft which costs only a bit more but gets pretty good reviews and looks solid. The Wolfcraft one takes standard hose too and apparently lifts up to 3m.
