Oberon Design American handmade barrettes are beautiful and they have many styles and sizes available.I have several of the Oberon barrettes. I ordered this oak leave design to wear in the fall. The oak leave design is a large barrette. It was too big for my thin hair. I did not return it. I gave it as a gift to someone with thick hair. It looked stunning in her hair. I've been eyeing these barrettes for some time. I finally decided to try them out. I didn't know what mm size I would need so I bought the 70mm Wild Flower, and the 80mm Oak Leaf. While the Oak is my favorite in design, the 80mm is too big for my hair type (I do wish the company offered this design in 70mm as it does a few other of their designs.....same design different sizes of the actual clip part). I now have my Oak Leaf sitting on my dresser as a decoration.The Wild Flower 70mm works perfectly for my high ponytail! Holds my hair nicely in place (the 80mm Oak Leaf, after 90 minutes was making my pony tail droop, and eventually was falling out of my hair). I've only worn the Wild Flower once so far, however, when I went to remove it from my hair none of my hair was pulled out or stuck in any of the hardware. That is a first for me with this type of hair clip.These hair clips are absolutely beautiful in person. I highly recommend. Very sturdy at a fair price; exceptionally well made. I am already trying to decide which design(s) to purchase for my next go around.Thank you for the little charm(s). :o) Excellent box for storing.OH! I was just reading some comments on the Oak Leaf and someone mentioned that they tweaked the clip because it was falling out of their hair. They said once they bent the clip it worked. Sooooo, I bent mine too! And it is now holding my hair perfectly!!! I've had it in my hair for hours now and it has not moved. Thank you to the person who left that comment on what they did. :o)

This is my third purchase and I would say not my last, I love it as much as the others. Well made and beautifully crafted. Surprisingly there’s no Christmas Barrett, or I haven’t seen one. They are perfect for topping off the mood and look of the seasons. So glad I found these.

I bought the oak/acorn clip to decorate my bun. The quality is excellent and the price more than reasonable. I am so pleased with the design I bought the thistle and the bee clips. I now have one in each size for different styles. As another reviewer mentioned, I just wish they offered each design in all of the sizes. Though the clip is solid, it does not pull or feel heavy in the hair.

Beautiful, well crafted barette.And the best part? I have thick, curly hair and a huge head. 1) nearly all hair accessories give me a headache and this one doesn't and 2) it actually is large enough to hold all my hair.I'm looking forward to wearing at a family wedding in October.

I adore this hair clip.I chose the Oak Leaf pattern because I have always loved the 14th century proverb “mighty oaks from tiny acorns grow.” The barrette is very beautiful and lifelike.The barrette holds my thick, wavy hair very well, whether I put all my hair up or do half up, half down. I was very pleasantly surprised! Usually a clip works only for a little or a lot of hair.Although the barrette seems heavy and solid in my hand, it doesn’t pull on my hair or feel heavy when worn.I'm now buying up more. I have four Oberon barrettes and ordered another today.I recommend these barrettes wholeheartedly and look forward to buying more of this small business's products in the near future. And to suggesting Oberon designs as a place where people can buy me presents.
