I upgraded my wifi and forgot to upgrade the door sound sensor and misplaced the direction. Contacted support on a weekend and they were so helpful as I was frustrated that was not upgrading due to my phone connecting to higher than 2.4gh on wifi. There was no light on my product after 15 seconds and support said my model has no light just 4 beeps. After a exhaustive try with no luck, support is sending me a new model. It's a great product because my spouse leaves the freezer door open by accident so this helps a lot and if I get a text I can remind her thus the food does not go bad especially with food inflation these days.

This alarm is excellent for us, and it's not because of its obvious sound in our case. Our freezers are in the garage, and, typically, we will have returned to the house after having not closed the door properly, so we won't likely hear the alarm. We do, however, get an additional email notification and a warning from Google Home. Thankful to have found this product.

I have this set up on my garage door to help catch the times that it's left open or doesn't close all the way.The good:* Product seems well-built* Companion app works well* Alert customization is flexible (multiple time controls/stages of alerts)* Customer support has been very helpful and responsiveThe bad:* Had a few hiccups with setup (serial number registration didn't work and text notifications didn't work at first)* Updating the configuration is annoying (you have to update in the app, then move the device and press a button which is cumbersome on the garage door)* Text message notifications can only go to one number* Set of alerting mechanisms is small (would be really nice to have in-app notifications and email)The overview:This product helps fill a gap in the market for delayed notifications of door/window states. Hopefully this product continues to mature and gets more features. For now, it gets the job done just fine!

I guess this might be a bit of a niche use product. It's functionally a normal magnetic door alarm (i.e. it alarms when the magnetic bond between sensors is broken), but then one is next level in that it has software onboard that you can set up as desired to make much louder and more dramatic alarms if that magnetic bond is not restored. You can choose the time delay, with up to three alarms sounding. You can choose the volume. It can also notify via text (I think it is 10 free notifications per year, with no clear indication of what happens after that), something else I don't understand and don't use, and then it can do an amusing robotic voice-of-God thing over a Google Home if you happen to have one of those. It's pretty straight forward to set up, just holding the button to get it into interface mode and then setting it up via an app (which is approved by Google and officially on the store, for the record (also available for iPhone but I don't know anything about that)). There are printed directions and they are also available online.Additionally, their customer service is top shelf! I had an accident where I switched Wi-Fi networks and this rendered the unit unreachable, but I was able to message the company their website and they got back to me extremely promptly at a weird hour too. My agent was clearly like directly hand-on knowledgeable about the product, with none of the "try turning it off and back on" faffing about for days like a call center where they're just throwing bodies out as flak for angry customers.Great product!

I was unable to connect it to my internet server. Therefore, I never had the opportunity to use it.

During the Wi-Fi setup the first problem was the continue button was off the screen of my small iPhone mini and when I tried to scroll down it just moved back up over and over. Then using an Android phone I was able to hit continue but when trying to connect to Arka Wi-Fi network to configure it the network kept disappearing after 5 seconds. Upon repeated attempts to get connected to the Arka network the unit totally died. Now I can't get it to do anything. Won't make any beeps at all. Doesn't even detect the magnet. AVOID THIS DEVICE!

I use the Arka Device for 2 refrigerator freezers. The alarms on the units that are standard are not customizable and do not alert you to the door being open unless you are standing next to it at the time of the alarm. The Arka has saved us THOUSANDS of dollars in bad food. AND if there is something that could be useful, ARKA is willing to develop a new idea and push it to our current devices. I have used the same Arka devices for 2 years and LOVE them.
