Effective Improvement over Disposables!
Our old girl passed last week, but when I saw this item as I was updating my monthly orders I recalled how helpful it was and thought perhaps I should leave a review to help other pet parents. We got a number of items when our ~15 year old setter spaniel mix started having trouble holding it about 6 months ago. She would potty in her sleep and she would get up sometimes, take a couple steps off the bed and just go. At this point she was old, diabetic, blind... yep, our little old lady deserved some help. So, instead of getting upset - or shampooing the carpet every week - we got doggy diapers and floor pads. When we started off we got the disposable pee pads. It's what we had used for puppies in the past and you can find them at the local store easily enough. There is one problem though - they suck! Even if they are absorbent, they are ugly like floor diapers, they slide and scrunch all over so easily, when they are bunched they aren't doing their job and over time the cost of disposable pee pads adds up. So does the trash bin and the land fill. So, after using disposable pads and diapers and realizing we didn't like either option, I shopped around and found these. If our sweetie were still around I would have gotten another pack because they worked so well. Here are all the pros:1. Made in the USA, yay!2. Pretty big. Not as big as they look in that picture if you know how big a Bernese Mountain Dog really is - to which I would say they are maybe 1/2 to 2/3rd the size they look in the picture - but that said they are 24 x 36, which is a good size for coverage.3. Small enough to toss in a small load of wash with diapers and pads each day and not have it be a hassle.4. Reusable! No more huge wads of diapers and pee pads filling the trash bin.5. Money saving! Although it costs money to launder them you won't be running through $7-15 a pack on pads. Pads you may throw away before they are used cause they wad up and look gross/dirty so quickly.6. Stays put - not perfectly, but vastly better than disposables!7. Absorbs well. Our girl was normally 40lbs and with diabetes for the last 5 years she always drank a little more than other dogs, so she could fill a pee pad like a champ, but this held her business and never leaked.Cons? I cannot really think of any besides it isn't really beautiful to look at - but it's a pee pad. It did it's job well and I will be saving ours for the next pup whenever that happens as I am not going back to disposables again. (Same with diapers, btw!)Bottom line: These are so much better than disposables. If you have an old dog, a young dog, a sick dog, an untrained dog or just know you may get home late from work and want to make things easier on everyone - this pee pad is a bit of a lifesaver. Recommended to pet parents. Two paws up. :-)

Holds up well, wash after wash!
Love using these pads from birth on for the pups sleeping area. I place one over the heating pad in the whelping box, for comfort. I change them out frequently during the first 3 weeks. Washing and drying them a lot and they come out perfect every time. Edges are sewn very well! Worth the money spent, I have 8 of them!

Great size; highly absorbent; they work very well
Have bought a few of these packages because I truly like the product. The size is excellent, as is the absorption. I have several small dogs which means potty pads are critical when I am at work. I have owned two sets for about 5 months and remain very happy. I do not expect them to last forever (there is an absorbent filler within the material) but they are hanging tough. You are not to use bleach with any of these type potty pads; I do have an enzyme-based stain remover/odor remover which I use to "prep" these pads (they are often SOAKING after 8 hours) before washing. I use an enzyme-based laundry soap, too. The pads come out clean (and without odor). For the money, if they last me one year, I'll be a happy camper.

Works great!
So glad I found these. I’ve a senior dog that has just decided she doesn’t want to be bothered going outside in the middle of the night or holding it until morning. These pads have saved so much aggravation. They’ve lasted quite a few washes and I’ve never noticed a smell. I’m on my second purchase.

they work ok but leak with a bigger dog
These work okay but not great. They do not adsorb the smell like disposable pads. Also they do start to leak after a couple of hours of sitting, at lease with a big dog. We have an older greyhound and she can't hold her bladder until we get off of work anymore. Doing through a ton of pads and money these were very attractive to me. They might work good if you are just using them temporarily like a new puppy but not for long term and with a big dog.Good points... They do attract her like normal pads-sometimes she is shy about changing things on her. They don't wrinkle up and fade after washing Much prettier at entryway than paper padsThe bad... They will have your house smelling like dog pee leaking have to wash imminently

What I really love about them though
I am going to have to give these pads 5 stars even though when my feline babies spilled their water it went through one of the pads but not the other. It seems that one is thicker than the other. I solved the problem by putting both of them down, one on top of the other, That way I have double the protection for my wood floor. What I really love about them though, is they are so very pretty! They make the whole room look so much prettier just by being that beautiful green plaid.

Not sure
I haven’t used these yet but just received them in the mail.I’m not in love with the aesthetics. I feel they look much nicer in the picture. Plus there are strings that have clearly not been cut hanging off them! It looks like whoever ran them through the sewing machine either forgot to cut them off or missed the line. They do look homemade or “cheap” compared to the other ones I bought. I don’t think I would buy them again purely on this alone. I think over priced compared to the other ones I am using!I am afraid to put them in the washing machine as I’m afraid they are going to fall apart. I’m seriously thinking of returning them and buying from one of the other brands I already did.

Good enough to pee
I've been using them for a week and they are great. The last ones I had for about 3-4 years and they were great to. These are rectangular as opposed to square and cover more so I get less miss fires(that's what I call it when my dogs piss on the she of the mats)No leak throughs. I thiught it leaked through the first night but it was a miss fire. I tested with a cup of water and no leak through. I also washed them and they are still 100%

Nice quality, but lightweight
The pad works well and washes up easily. It is thinner (lighter weight) than other pads I use. Fortunately, my dog is small and this hasn’t proved to be a problem. The three star rating is because I would have expected a thicker pad like others I have purchased from Amazon
