I do a lot of travelling on business, this is an excellent book to keep in the car so I can always find a good pint.Where there is a good pint the kitchens are usually also excellentThis means I get a good evening meal.

As retired and fond of real beer this guide is of value wherever we go in this country for good ale and food, much better than the Internet! In planning a canal trip this now massive tome is going to prove very useful indeed for stops.

Do not buy the kindle edition under any circumstances. There is no index, no way to navigate at all. No list of chapters divided into counties, nothing! Short of reading from page 1 you have to type the name of a town which you know has a listed pub which will put you in the correct county at least. How could such a fundamental mistake avoid proof-reading detection. Very annoyed by my wasted purchase.
