BICCristal Ballpoint Pens - Pack of 8 - Assorted Colours (Fashion + Standard) - 1.6 mm Tip with Smooth Writing

Not bad

I'm not impressed with these pens at all. My usage: I've been trying to use them for writing in a personal music theory book and wanted to add some colour for clarity and to liven up the text. My issues with these pens are:- The ink does run, but it's thick, heavy and inconsistent. Expect a lot of splotches. Do not expect finesse with these.- The colours are very disappointing. Red, dark blue and black are as expected. But the yellow and orange are neon, the colour of highlighter pens. Unreadable and therfore useless, unless you want to underline things! Light green is a horrible, dreary shade. Pink is bright fuschia. Not too bad but still garish.- They take too long to dry. All the splotchy ink will smudge if you cover the page too soon.If you still want to go ahead and haven't been dissuaded, some advice: remember to remove the clear plastic protective coating on the nib. You'll probably think it's still on there the way these pens work, but still worth mentioning. Also, don't expect these to have the fine lines of a standard pack of black crystal bics. They don't.My search continues.

I ordered these pens to use whilst wfh and as a change to the usual black or blue. When I first tried to use one I was initially disappointed as it wouldn’t write cleanly, but on closer inspection I realised each pen has a little plastic cover over the nib and it hadn’t all come off. Once I removed it the issue was resolved and the writing experience is smooth and clean. It’s worth noting that these pens are a thick ball point as opposed to the most commonly used medium ones, so if you don’t like a slightly thicker line or prefer the pen to be slightly thinner, then these possibly aren’t for you. I find the slightly thicker pen shaft much more comfortable to grip. I’m a convert and will be using these all the time now. I’ll definitely be re-ordering again.

The pens write very smoothly once you remove the small glue sticker on the end. They are bright, bold, and colourful with a good selection.The one pen I'm a little disappointed with (and I'm being picky here) is the light green. I was hoping for a vibrant, acid green, I got a muddy olive shade.I'll be ordering more for my future use. They're brilliant.

In the past i havent really used the BIC brand a lot, other than for their black pens. They're not really my go to brand for pens, but these are surprisingly very good. Usually with brighter colours the pigment from the pen can skip when writing, but these work a little bit better than the usual brands that put out bright colours. The pigment is great and i find that the ink lasts quite a while! Holding these types of pens can be painful if doing it for long periods of time, but they're not the worst when it comes to comfortability. Decently priced and they work great. Would recommend!

Really sad with these pens. They bleed and blob the paper, you pen case, the fingers. The ink flows from back and its a total mess. I am very upset with these pen set.
