This is a handy multipurpose siphon buddy for light jobs. We have an indoor hydroponic plant tower requiring the water reservoir to be emptied and cleaned every month. I use the siphon to transfer the used water into a 5 gallon bucket. The siphon has worked great. It made the job much easier and cleaner. It had plenty of suction and the flow rate will be good for other small jobs like an aquarium. I don’t think this will be good for commercial heavy use. A few reviews mentioned excess water left in the tube that leaves a mess when removing it. When removing the tube, turn it on & off to flush a second time it out before completely removing it. The price on this is inexpensive, but the caveat is it uses batteries. It’s great because it’s portable; however, batteries are expensive. I like that it is flexible to use either D batteries or AA’s. I definitely recommend this product.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:price and ease of useEase of installation:simple to use, easy to fill my side x side without spilling gasoline everywhere or straining holding up 5 gallons of gasoline. only wish i would have found this item sooner. don't let the reasonable price fool you, this is a quality item and works exactly as it should.

Upon receipt found the hose is a little too short and asked the vendor if they can sell me a longer hose. No reply since June 2024.I used the unit sparingly only to remove water from indoor planter catch basin after watering. Last used 3 months ago. Today 2/22/25, the unit will not turn on. Sent an email to customer service to check if there is a way I CAN FIX IT before deciding to purchase another. Hopefully, I won't have to wait a decade for a reply.Update 2/25/25I was in communication with the seller for the past few days after my review posted. We discussed several options on how to go about resolving the issue with the product.I can say that the seller went above and beyond to make me comfortable to trust that they will stand by their product. I thank the seller for working with me on this matter.

After 3 uses, hose clamp cheap and defective, started leaking gasoline severely. Added a quality hose clamp, will see it stops leak. Pump works great. Better clamp, hose leaks two places now. Wasted my money.

After seeing some reviews that stated this only lasted one or two times I feel like I've already got my money's worth. We have a sump pump with no battery backup and the quote to get battery backup is over $2,000. We live in an area where our electricity goes out during most storms usually when we're getting a deluge of rain. So with the finished basement I'll try anything. Stuck the wand down in the sump pump the minute the electricity went out and had multiple 5 gallon buckets ready to receive the Pumped water and turned it on. What a wonderful invention. This saved me so much time and worry and luckily the deluge of rain stopped within an hour and I no longer had to worry about the electricity being off. I also used this in a window well that does not drain properly and when it started to fill with water I used this to pump it out before it could go over the egress window into the basement. (Yes, we have basement problems). Anyhow, this works great on that and although it will suck small pebbles or debris into it and stop working all you have to do is turn it off, tap the wand gently a couple of times and it comes right back out and starts working again.

Great ideal easy to use, bought xtra one for my brother n law to use on the farm in west virginia.

This is a must for those that live in hurricane states.It's easier to fill up your generators and not have to pick up a 5 gallon gas can. Pumps several gallons in no time. Life saver! We have bought three of them now for different households

I loved the idea of this pump being portable, making convenient for many situations. It worked great to start with, but quit just before the tank was completely emptied. It would no longer work at all. *edit* the seller offered a refund for the faulty unit. I would be willing to give their product a try again, since they stand behind their product.
