Bob Ross Rocks!

paint brush bristles bent so worthless.Its okay but I was disappointed that two of the gel pens were dried up paint brush bristles were bent.This is especially annoying because it was a gift to a young, budding artist.

Bob Ross wanted to teach others to paint as well as he did. By all accounts a peaceful, friendly man, he liked jokes, painting, relaxing and being with family. His favorite joke was "No matter where I move, the sun always finds me." I think he meant it in a positive way but I don't understand philosophy so I can't say.His paintings made a lot of people happy.This product is great and lets you be happy for a few minutes -- the whole point of things.Here are my favorite art books, all available on Amazon:- Learn to Paint in Acrylics by Mark Nelson- Exploring Art by Dona Schlesier- Learn to Paint in Oil Step by Step! by Bob Ross- Great Fighter Jets of the Galaxy 1 by Tim Gibson

The best part of this kit was the book. It does not include any paint to actually paint the rocks with, only white and two tinted base coats. The gel pens are worthless and one brush broke the first time I used it, while I was swishing it around in a cup of water. I'm not saying don't buy it, but know upfront that you are going to have to purchase an acrylic paint set and colored markers that are not included.

This product is very misleading. Yes, it has templates, rocks, instructions, 3 basic paints, but the instructions require various color paints that you may not know where to get that specific color, especially if your craft store doesn't carry Bob Ross paints, which you have to get as extras.It doesn't teach you how to paint like Bob Ross. Instead, it gives you pictures and stencils and on the instruction page it tells you what other things you need in order to paint the particular pictures.I thought I'd give this a benefit of a doubt, even after reading various reviews. I thought "Well, some people can just be picky about what they want or what they get" although this can be true in some cases, in this case, it is not. It is not worth the money, or the time waiting to get this in the mail, it is not for children, and you will end up spending more money than it is worth, unless you happen to have "everything" that pertains to Bob Ross. All his paints, brushes, etc. Definitely a misleading product

Shame on the makers of this kit for including stencils that are impossible to use without carbon paper which is NOT included! How expensive would it have been to include a half page of carbon paper? Set out to do this with grandkids and everyone was disappointed. The alternative to use graphite from a pencil to transfer the stencil to a rock was contorted and a bit much for kids to perform. We also had no pencil when we opened our kit, being on vacation, so even the alternative method was not possible. Very, very annoying and disappointing!

Do the proceeds go to Bob’s son? If not I wouldn’t pay a penny for this stuff.
