A L'Olivier Olive Oil Infused with Basil, 8.3-Ounce Tins (Pack of 2)

I used to buy this basil olive oil in the L'Olivier shop in Grand Central Terminal, but sadly it has closed. So my only source is online, and I find Amazon to be the best way for me to buy it. I love it with all kinds of recipes-- almost anything you would use regular olive oil for; including a little bit in egg salad which is fantastic. This as far as I can tell is the same product that was sold in the shop in GCT. The quality is very good, it is fresh and the taste is excellent.

This olive oil is great for grilling. A bit expensive for the size but the flavor is well worth it!

Thus olive oil is soooo good. You can really taste the basil in it. Yummy!

Was dining in London at a posh hotel. This basil infused oil was on the table for dipping crusty pieces of home baked breads. The taste was so delicate and delicious that it made the rest of the meal so much more enjoyable. I took a picture of the can (BTW it's teeny 8oz) with the hopes that I could order through one of the gourmet sites. But low and behold by chance checked Amazon and there by golly it was. Have been purchasing since late 2011. A little goes a long way given that the oil is more of an accent flavor with a variety of foods rather than meant for cooking/frying etc. Product is made in France so it is an import but so worth it. You won't be disappointed. The oil is extra virgin and the basil flavor is not overpowering or invasive but just enough to enhance the taste buds. Totally Delicious and worth the cost.

These infused oils are great. Use them every day. Hard to find some like lemon and thyme so if you can get that one I would be very happy!

This is a wonderful product. All you need to do is add a little bit to your salad and it will taste great. The basil is subtle, enhances the food but not fight with it. The L’Olivier in town closed and now I get my supply from Amazon. Other flavors available but I have not tried them.

I'm not satisfied with this product. It doesn't taste like basil oil and it tastes disgusting!I don't feel I should pay for rancid garbage.

Quality is good but I paid almost $15 for only 8.3 oz of product. When you look at the picture on Amazon it looks like a much bigger size than when you actually see the tiny tin of olive oil. The taste is good but I went through this in a couple of weeks and I just can't justify the price on this one. I also bought another olive oil that was double this cost but it was like 5 times the amount of olive oil. This supposedly is infused with basil but I actually could not taste any basil in the product. Don't get me wrong it's a good quality oil but did not blow me away at the price point.I should have checked the size more carefully vs just looking at the picture on Amazon.
