Highly recommend, so good!
This stuff is AMAZING! If you're following a Keto/low carb diet, this is one of the best snack options I've come across. It's similar to Chex Mix, sure it's not exactly as good but the carb count is low, so you shouldn't expect it to be the same as other carb rich snacks. The pretzel pieces are a little hard and that would probably be my only complaint, aside from it being a little expensive.

Good crunch!
Well, I hate writing reviews but I had to come on to say I LOVE this stuff. It’s so satisfying and savory, as a gal who needs to cronch, this hits the spot. Unfortunately, I just received my shipment and the flavor is different :( also the pecans are missing which I loved. I really hope this is a test run and they take the reviews into consideration because the Traditional flavor was my favorite and now it’s lacking the flavor it once had. I would still recommend this though.

Why did you change the recipe?
I’ve been a loyal Catalina Crunch customer since the early days — back when the brand stood out for offering truly keto-friendly, low-carb, high-fiber snacks and cereals. The Traditional Snack Mix used to be my go-to: only 5g net carbs, made with pecans, cashews, and no added sugars. It felt like a smart choice — especially for people managing diabetes or trying to eat clean while still enjoying something crunchy and flavorful. But something changed — and not just the recipe. They quietly reformulated the Traditional Snack Mix without telling customers. The net carbs jumped to 8g, the protein was bumped to 10g, and the pecans were removed — replaced with almonds (higher in carbs) and soy protein crisps (a cheap filler used to inflate protein content). This isn’t just a new recipe — it’s a cost-cutting strategy wrapped in a “protein upgrade” disguise.Let’s be honest: pecans are expensive, almonds are cheaper, and soy protein isolate is dirt cheap by comparison. That tells me this wasn’t just about nutrition — it was about the bottom line.Even more frustrating, the allergen labeling is incomplete or missing on the product pages and even some packaging. The new mix contains soy protein isolate, butter powder, whey powder, and nonfat dry milk — yet on multiple listings, there’s no proper “Contains: Milk, Soy” allergen disclosure. For people with allergies or dietary restrictions, that’s more than disappointing — it’s potentially dangerous. And let’s talk marketing. The brand advertises this product topped with fresh kiwi, mango, pomegranate seeds, and syrup — all things not included in the product. That pretty photo might be good for Instagram, but it’s incredibly misleading. If someone recreates that bowl, they’re getting 15–25g of sugar from fruit and syrup — yet the product still boasts “0g added sugar.” It’s just not honest. It feels like the brand is moving away from the vision of its founder, Krishna Kaliannan, who created Catalina Crunch to help people like himself — with type 1 diabetes — find satisfying low-carb options. Now, under new leadership (Catalina Crunch hired a new CEO in late 2022), it seems the focus has shifted toward growth and margin over mission and integrity.I’m not against companies evolving. But when you build a loyal customer base around trust, transparency, and health-focused values, you owe it to those customers to communicate major changes clearly — not hide them behind flashy packaging and quiet reformulations.Sadly, I can no longer recommend this product. If you’re keto, diabetic, carb-conscious, or allergic to soy or dairy — please read the fine print very carefully. Catalina Crunch is not the same brand it used to be.

New recipe isn’t as good
I’m really disappointed in the change in the recipe. This is one of my favorite snacks and this new version has almonds (meh) instead of the pecans, a lot less nuts overall, and more carb components (like the pretzels and crackers). It’s still okay but definitely less flavorful and less good all around than the previous version. Won’t be a go-to snack anymore, sadly.
