Electric Light Orchestra On Track: Every Album, Every Song

This is a must for any true ELO fan. Full of many interesting facts about every recording the band has ever done, including Jeff Lynne's ELO The author gives his thoughts on the tracks, but every fan will have their own opinions like myself. I found it interesting to play some of the tracks while reading what was said about each one and hearing the bits that are described in the text, that I had not noticed in 20 years of listening to them ! If you love ELO, you will not be disappointed by this book.

This book was obviously a labour of love and as a result is a pleasure to read. No stone was left unturned so whether you are a die-hard fan who wants to devour every word, or one who wants to dip in and out of it I can highly recommend it. Truly excellent.

Amazing. Just what I’ve been waiting for. Really thorough but entertaining look at ELO’s catalogue written by a true fan. Excellent timing too as it’s published on the 50th anniversary of the band.

As a long time ELO fan I was really looking forward to this book and I’m pleased to say it’s everything I wanted and more. This book is astonishingly well researched and the author writes with an engaging style with flashes of humour when appropriate that makes it a real pleasure to read. I thought I knew everything there was to know about the band, but the author has managed to unearth some nuggets and information that were new to me. Every song and album is covered with fascinating facts and summaries and I’d highly recommend this book to both casual and hardcore ELO fans.

I can only echo Grimble's review. Carefully researched and though written by a fan, its judgements are fair and sound. You won't be disappointed in this excellent and highly addictive book.
