Very nice gauge set.
I purchased the kit with the 4 cfm vacuum pump for R12/R134A. This is nice set especially for the price. The set worked perfectly with no leaks. I used the set to check for leaks with compressed air, pull a vacuum and charge the AC system with 12 oz cans of refrigerant with resealable top. The leak check was performed with the gauge set in conjunction with a flush bottle.

Decent tool for light duty. Surprisingly good customer service
I got the 4.5cfm pump and gauges with four hoses. It's decent quality, pump runs nice and quiet, pulls a vacuum pretty fast too.Gauges are gauges, they work, they don't leak. What do you want from me?Mine had a defective high side connector. When I unscrewed the valve it kinda blew right the past fully open detent and fell apart. Be careful of that. The amazing thing is that I emailed them and they sent me a new connector. Shipped it DHL from China, only took a few days to get here. I never expected such good service.I did discover that the adapter for the can of r134a was threaded poorly. It immediately cross threaded and, with very little effort, a ring of brass came off.I just tossed that and used my own adapter, but I did have to buy a couple brass pieces to adapt my adapter to these hoses. I don't know why these hoses are a different thread. Didn't matter, a whole bunch of thread tape and it's sealed.Anyway, if you know how to deal with random issues and make things work, you'll be fine. If you are expecting something to do all the work for you, you'll need to spend at least double or triple this amount.I like it, I have already fixed up two cars and they're blowing cold. And to all the people complaining about the seals: stop over-tightening everything.

Works great! Awesome price for what you get.
After reviewing multiple types of kits of like this. I ended up buying this one because of the specs on the vacuum pump. It's a 37.5 micron, 5 pa pump. Others I have looked at were 70 micron even as high as 150 micron and 10pa.After checking everything included, they all look decent quality. The gauges look good and do not bounce around. The manifold looks solid. The knobs are plastic, everything else looks good. After setting up the manifold I was able to pull a vacuum in my vehicle's AC system. I also used the manifold to recharge/refill R134a refrigerant.

Chinese directions...duhhhh
I'm starting my review now even though I haven't evacuated my ac yet..couldn't based on the Chinese directions. Note: read the provided directions for a laugh then get on u tube to see the correct way its done.,but, still be alert, one set of directions said to make sure the car is not running with the ac off while charging the system....wrong....the engine and ac have to run to pull the freon into the system.According to China town directions I could not pull a vacuum. The end of the hose that has the slight bend have to be hooked up to the gaugesLook inside the hose - the Schrader valve is inside the end of the hoses with the bend. I saw in one video that the demonstrator had the curved end attatched to the pump on a different kind of pump,so maybe those hoses were different. Some reviews said the nylon seals were breaking and inefficient....I ordered and replaced with rubber seals just to be safe.Good luck and use some savvy knowledge skills. The pump though is "very" quiet and all equipment in the kit looks sturdy.Update: I vacuumed the ac..it worked without flaw.Keep checking on the brass hose connections--even with the new rubber seals, the low side connection did loosen with the vibration.

Affordable tool, high quality, and saved me over $700.00 in repairs and service calls.
The vacuum pump has saved me twice. I used this to repair an AC on a backhoe which saved me about $600.00, and then I ended up needing it on a minisplit AC that I also purchased through Amazon. Another $200.00 saved on a service call. The kit came with everything I needed, and all adapters were used on my repair projects. It was simple to use, and the storage case looks sturdy and like it will hold up well. This is probably one of my best purchases on Amazon for 2025.

The VAC & REF knobs are reversed & the can valve punched the can's valve into the can!
The black hose & knob are labeled VAC which I foolishly assumed was for the vacuum ... it's NOT! This black knob that is clearly labeled VAC is actually for the refrigerant? The yellow hose & knob are labeled REF which I foolishly assumed was for refrigerant ... it's NOT! This yellow knob that is clearly labeled REF is actually for the vacuum?Worse, the refrigerant can fixture pushed the valve into the can such that it wouldn't shut, even when the valve stem was fully removed so all of the refrigerant sprayed out, uncontrollably! Plan to leave any unused refrigerant can connected to the hose and gauge set so you can use it to stop the flow! Also, those knurled hose connections suck! I used 3 wraps with the included teflon tape (in the direction that they tighten). The problem being that while they work when tight, they will loosen and leak when you move the hoses and you will have to tighten them, again, and again, etc.Looking again at the user manual, I realized that the small diagram shows the reversals of those controls so, the company knew they were mis-labeled but CYA with a small diagram correcting it.Now I understand why no refrigerant showed in the watch glass because these labels were reversed. Unfortunately, because no refrigerant was seen, I continued turning the can valve which is when it pushed the valve out.Other than this confusing and dangerous labeling mistake, the gauges worked well as did the sniffer. I haven't yet needed the vacuum pump so I can't say how well it works.I really hate having been exposed to the refrigerant as it shot out of the can, even though I had safety glasses and gloves on! A can of refrigerant holds a ton of it! I hope I've not done myself in?I am shocked that Amazon sells this $168 set? It is dangerous due to the mislabeling and the problems it has created.
