I think this is my first review in over 20 years of using Amazon frequently, but I feel compelled to pass along the knowledge I’ve acquired in shopping these Dragon Fit leggings. First, this brand is excellent and an incredible value! Feel confident that whatever you order is a good product. For reference, I am almost always XL in pants/leggings, but I wanted a true compression fit and the XL I ordered first was nowhere near the level of compression I wanted. L was perfect! I’m 5’5”, 205ish, hourglass proportions, 14/16 in numerical sizes. I’d probably feel the XL would be too big regardless, so it’s fair to say these run just slightly larger than true to size. The leggings are a bit long, but nothing crazy that would look dumb on an average leg length. The waist is legit high and great at holding the tummy in and has not rolled down at all so far (worn them 4-5 times). There’s an elastic band, like maybe an inch wide, inside the very wide waist panel and a seamed finish at the very top of the waist, ie not a fancy smooth seamless waist. It doesn’t bother me, chafe, look lumpy, or cause a weird muffin top, but for some it might. I’ve seen other reviews citing the lack of smooth, seamless waist as a problem. Just remember these leggings are $20-$28, so you’re not getting the most cutting-edge construction, but they are a fantastic value if you want decent compression and high quality, non-sheer material. The semi-complicated bit- Dragon Fit is selling seemingly identical leggings under similar listings, but in very different fabrics. The company does nothing to draw your attention to or explain this difference. Here’s my best explanation: 80% polyamide 20% spandex is the very popular, “buttery”, silky/slippery, semi-shiny material that you see more and more in leggings these days. 88% polyamide 12% spandex is more of a “cottony” feel, zero shine, and IMO (having tried both materials in several sizes) better at true compression and no hint of see-through-ness or showing lumps and bumps. However, both materials are pretty good in this respect, especially compared with other inexpensive leggings brands. They are thick, durable fabrics and preference just comes down to personal priorities. The main downside in the 88/12? LINT MAGNET. I have pets and this is a problem, but not enough to outweigh how absolutely flattering and sturdy the material is. With the 80/20, I’d have to worry about “picks” and snags from cat/dog claws, sitting on or brushing against a very rough surface, etc etc etc. 88/12 is far less likely to have these problems or for them to show if they do happen. The simplest analogy is think about like a classic stretchy swimsuit material vs a cotton t-shirt. Lint sticks to the t-shirt more easily, but the swimsuit shows snags and wear faster. It comes down to what works for your life and the priorities you have in buying leggings. Also, color makes a huge difference re lint- mine are black, the absolute worst for showing lint. If I’d bought space dye gray, for example, it’s possible I wouldn’t have even noticed any lint. Regardless, I’m sticking with 88/12 and stocking up on lint rollers, which honestly I have to use on most of my other clothes anyway, so 🤷🏻♀️I’ve laundered my black leggings like 4 times and so far no fading, fraying, pilling, or seam problems. I wash on cold/normal, inside out in a delicates bag, air dry. No idea how they’d do in a dryer, but I’ve never put leggings in the dryer and if you really want these to keep that strong compression, I’d advise not subjecting them to the heat of the dryer. They do come out of the wash with the aforementioned lint, but again, legging color choice matters here. A lint roller easily pulls everything off. After a ton of searching, it appears Dragon Fit is only using 88/12 for the “no side pocket” design, except black and some fleece. I’ve become pretty attached to having side pockets on leggings, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the company expands the 88/12 material to more side pocket leggings because I’d buy every color. In the meantime, I’ll buy a few without side pockets and try to get used to having my phone stashed against my lumbar in that back of the waistband pocket.Hopefully this is helpful to someone who has also been baffled by the Dragon Fit material content issue. Just look carefully at the entire listing for the exact pair (even the size and color) you order - they show the material content on all their listings in the fine print. Good luck! And remember, regardless of what Dragon Fit leggings you end up with, they are all really great 😊

Beware of pockets
First if all, I wanted to thank A. Yates for her informative review. I have purchased several pairs of these leggings since I've been diagnosed with both small, and possibly large, fiber neuropathy. Oh, I also have CVI - chronic vascular insufficiency. Which basically means I have loads of varicose veins because many of the valves in my veins don't work properly. I'm 6' tall and weigh 160-170 lbs. My docs have told me that I HAVE TO (not need to) wear compression garments from above my tummy button through my feet and toes EVERY DAY. So, it's either compression leggings with compression socks to meet them or compression panty hose.My first leggings were the black and white snakeskin print and they are fabulous. I only wash in cold water and hang everything to dry, btw.Pockets are important to me and I prefer to have two thigh pockets...which these legging have. Then I wanted more because they're so reasonably priced, are almost long enough for me, offer lots of patterns and colors and pockets! So I ordered these in the black & grey pattern, size L. I washed them before wearing them since, new out of the package, I do pick up an odor. I have severe MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivities). Laundering them seems to get rid of the odor I'm happy to report. But the tiny pocket in the front and the long horizontal hidden pocket in the back of the waistband do not cut it. I have a Samsung android phone that has fit in every pair if leggings I have with thigh pockets. The first problem with thesebus contortions your body to find the pocket. If you're able to do that then you can try to fit your phone in. I gave up. They're probably going to be relegated to my "HOME ONLY" wardrobe and I'll save the thigh pocket ones for when I leave the house. I'm guessing a man designed them. They're still great leggings...especially if you don't care about pockets!

I love these!
While I am wishing I had ordered the M over the L as I was expecting much more compression than they give, I do love them. They are so very comfortable and smooth out the lumpy cellulite in my thighs. Super comfy and the pockets are great! I don't even notice my phone in the pocket at the back and often forget that's where it is when I want it.I could give these 4 stars because I was expecting more compression but I just love them too much to downplay the overall satisfaction I have with them. Next time, though, I'll be ordering a size M.For reference to those considering which size to purchase: I am 5'4" and currently weigh 183lbs. To be fair, I have always carried my weight differently than most and currently wear size 12 in jeans. Hope this helps!

My favorite leggings, BUT...
I love these leggings a lot -- the perfect high rise, perfect fit, the fabric is thick enough so they're not see-through but not too warm either, pockets are great. I bought multiple pairs after the first time. However, every single pair I have has formed a hole in the same exact spot each time. When it happened to the first pair, I thought it was just a fluke or maybe I had snagged them, but now every pair has the same hole in the stitching in the back.... so weird. Has this happened to anyone else? 😅

Two pair, same size but each fits differently
One pair fit beautifully and as I hoped and expected. The second pair (same size as first and same material makeup proportions) are larger, loose and not what one comes to expect in exercise ware. But they are well made and attractive.
