Some Design Details Don't Align with the Intended Use
From the photo on Amazon, this seems like every other shower/bathing brush with a mesh "puff" at one end and a grip at the other. On closer inspection and use, the one received had shortcomings which aren't evident in the product photo.First, the "puff": There isn't enough material on the side you would normally use (the side to the inside of the curve in the handle). This means you can't get a good lather going that lasts for the time you want to use it. It also allows you to be jabbed with the end of the wooden handle on a regular basis since there isn't enough material for the handle to stay covered during use. "Use the other side," you say? It's only marginally "puffier" than the business side and harder to use given the handle curve.Second, the handle finish: Many wooden-handled brushes I've used have no finish or a rougher satin finish to aid grip while trying to hold it in a wet, soapy environment. The finish on this handle is slippery enough that you have to grip it tightly lest it fly out of your hand, which exposes the third issue. While gripping the handle more tightly helps you hang on, the sharp-edged rectangular cross-section of the wood makes it very uncomfortable, even painful, to squeeze the handle while using it. A softer radius along the edges would be much more hand-friendly.It was very inexpensive so it's not that upsetting. Securing the bulk of mesh to the business side, using a higher friction finish or no finish and having a larger edge radius would elevate this design to near perfect without much cost.

Pros and cons
Love the wooden handle, but the construction is a little iffy. I have yet to see if it’s going to hold up. Bought this instead of a plastic handle to be eco friendly, so don’t want to have to throw it out after just a few uses.

Brilliant shower sponge - long and just flexible enough to get clean
This is not so much a scrubber as a shower sponge on a long handle. I was pleasantly surprised at how long the item was (18" from end to end; about 16.5" for the wooden handle). It has a great grip - I've had plastic scrubbers that get slippery when wet. The indentations and the wood material make this much easier to use than those. It is also just flexible enough to reach the indentations on your back, but stiff enough to actually clean those areas. I also suspect that you could replace the sponge if you want to be environmentally friendly - it seems to be fixed in the middle and is probably replaceable with a little ingenuity. I may order a set of Aquasentials Mesh Pouf Sponge (4 Pack) to try this out!Where this "brush" shines is in reaching areas that are difficult to clean. Not only the back, but feet - when you reach a "certain age" you don't bend quite as well. I also bought an expensive sponge with an articulated handle, but this reaches much better and is more comfortable. This sponge-on-a-stick lathers up well: wet it, squirt shower gel onto it, then rub with your hand to get the lather going. It reaches all the places I could not quite reach unaided. And it seems to be just soft enough to be pleasant to use, while strong enough to clean well.

I would recommend this product
I would recommend this product. This brush is prefect for reaching areas that are difficult to clean, such as the back (and feet in tight spaces).Pros:-- it has a great grip- it’s strudy, but flexible- it lathers up well- made out of a nice material, which is not too harsh, yet abrasive enough to feel exfoliating.- the handle has a nice handy loop which allows it to be hung.- nice size 18" from end to end; about 16.5" for the wooden handle- feels soft enough to be pleasantIf you think my review is interesting or helpful, please rate it as "helpful." I always enjoy writing reviews on products. I make most of my daily purchases on Amazon and base my purchases on reviews from others. I know that honest and helpful reviews can make all the difference in a purchasing decision.

Good Size, Short Life
This is the second time I've bought this brush and, I think, the second time I've reviewed it.I like the brush... it's not too rough, the size is just right, and the handle is durable and grooved for his pleasure... but, the loofa is connected to the stick with what appears to be the little metal tie that goes on a bread bag... so, it doesn't stay on for more than a couple of months if you're using it vigorously enough to actually clean your body. With that being said, the price isn't bad and, although it isn't going to last 6 or 12 months... I don't have a problem getting a new one every 2 or 3 months if I need... it's better than dislocating my arm trying to wash my back.

durable, lathers the soap well
I bought mine 7/4/2019. I'm writing this 2/5/2022 and I still have it, using 1-2 times daily to wash my back. So very well made! It lather's the soap very well so I need to use less. I also liked the wooden handle, as opposed to plastic which creates more waste.

Make sure the end of the wood stick is not exposed
Make sure the end of the wood stick is not exposed. I bought many of these from this dealer and only one was faulty and the brush fabric did not cover the end of the wood stick. Ouch!

Mesh Brush
Works fine but remember it is mesh and a brush will lather up better. This will scrub better.
