Updated - Aug 2018 - The seller reached out after having read my initial review, and offered to send me another pan, as they felt the pan I originally purchased may have been defective based on the issues I was experiencing. I gladly took them up on their offer, and proceeded to put the new pan through similar tasks as the prior one.One thing I noticed was more even heating with this pan - the entire surface area seems to heat at the same temperature, so food cooks more evenly. And my eggs will now sit where I place them, rather than sliding to the sides, as with the prior pan. This pan also heats up very fast, and has a smooth, nonstick surface. I hardly need to use any oil or butter with his pan! Pancakes cook wonderfully, and I’m sure crepes would be similar (I rarely make crepes, but bought this pan primarily for frying eggs).All in all, I do believe I received a defective pan the first time, as my new pan is a joy to use. I appreciate the seller reaching out to replace the prior version, and ensuring I was satisfied with my purchase!———————————I was hoping for more after reading the reviews. I bought this pan primarily to make eggs and omelets. It’s not entirely flat, and my eggs always slide to the sides, and nothing will stay in the middle. That makes for oddly shaped fried eggs and omelets. It does cook reasonably well, and the nonstick surface is good, but I just hate that it’s not flat.

Excellent ShapeThis is my third Saflon, I use two of them for almost a year, they are best non-stick I have ever seen, heats even. Nice thick bottom crepe pan prevents warp easily. The shape makes easy to cook, works as expected, also has good surface and nonstick. I already used this crepe pan couple times, this is not just a crepe pan I used it for cooking eggs and sauces, its also marvelous as the other Saflons I have.

I purchased this pan on May 3, 2018. I tried it once but it would not sit flat on my glass cooktop. I requested a return on May 17, and the next day received an email from Saflon. They offered a replacement directly from them without me having to return the original. Turns out, Amazon sent the pan in a box that was too small, resulting in a warped pan. Saflon sent it in a larger box and no problem with the pan sitting correctly on my cooktop. I love the pan, the quality and service from Saflon is fabulous! Photo shows both pans - upper pan is the new one, lower photo shows the space between the pan and cooktop as well as the handle touching the cooktop.

Edited: the seller was very easy to work with and eager to make it right. That is why I adjusted my rating from 2 to 4 stars.I wanted to love this pan, and it cooks the crepes very nicely. But the first time I used it on my gas stove on medium heat, the plastic handle burned, turned black, and started sparking!!! The flame wasn't on the handle directly, only near it. I hope this is just a defective one, and I will be contacting the manufacturer.
