Love the size and style of this ceiling fan. Quite and well balanced. It even comes with 2 led bulbs.

I'll state up front that this is a review based mostly upon the installation and initial testing, and not years of use.We bought this smaller fan for our nursery to replace a simple two-bulb light fixture. The nursery is fairly small, and after doing some research, we determined this fan was just the right size (with a few inches to spare).Installation was relatively easy, except for one gripe: one of the very first steps is referring to the electrical support box in your ceiling, and has a single simple image with a one or two sentence bit of instruction. It was very vague as to what was being referenced to use in the electrical box, and it took me a good 10 or 15 minutes of screwing around to figure out that I was trying to use the wrong screws from the electrical box (I mistook the proper screws for being ones that might have been holding the box in place in the ceiling; they were not). Now, before you really deride me for being a dummy, know that the instructions for this fan do a poor job of representing to-scale images of the different screws, bolts, and connectors you'll use. A simple indication of size would have helped clear up a lot of confusion. That said, except for the electrical box issue, most of the confusion can be cleared up by process of elimination, and for most of the parts that come with the fan, the instructions reference the baggies the parts come in by the "rune" (random shapes; who KNOWS who came up with them) on the baggie.Beyond the very first confusingly vague step, the rest of the instructions are like adult Legos: the images are big, simple, and clearly diagramed, and broken down into easy to understand steps. It's also nice that each section of the fan you assemble is concluded clearly with a "You're all done!" declaration (avoiding any possible confusion on whether the next step is somehow a secondary part for the previous component).After installation, the fan performs wonderfully. We have a full-size Hunter fan in our bedroom that's actually louder than this one, but only two years older. When turning on this fan, you can't even hear the motor. In our older, larger fan, if you go from off to high speed, you can hear the motor accelerating. You can also hear a rhythmic whirring from the motor as it maintains speed. That's not the case for this Newsome model: it's completely silent, which is excellent for a nursery. Airflow seems fairly good too, though I have to wonder if flush-mounting a fan reduces how much it can move the air around.Fan is also very steady, with zero visible wobble. There's a balancing kit included in the box, but it wasn't needed.One last, minor pro: the fan comes with an extra little bracket that goes inside the little dome cap at the base of the glass bowl. Our other Hunter fan doesn't have this, so when you're changing a light, you have to carefully remove the two pieces below the bowl, while holding the big heavy bowl up.Finally, for those who might be doing this: I installed a third-party (Westinghouse) remote system into this fan. It works beautifully. The receiver for the wall remote fits snuggly and near-perfectly up inside the mounting bracket (not visible when completed; the big drum above the fan blades is entirely decorative and installs over the bracket and motor to hide this from sight).

So, I went looking for a beautiful fan that DID NOT look like an airplane propeller hanging from my ceiling! It seems to be hard to do these days, but this one popped up in my search. I always go with a Hunter fan if I can. They are quiet, quality and last forever. In addition, they don't wobble like so many others. We put this up in our kitchen and it dressed up the room right now. I love it.

Like other reviewers have said, this fan emits an intermittent buzzing sound when running at high speed. This doesn't happen on low or medium speed with my unit.Otherwise, this is a good fan.When I first installed the fan, I broke the glass (my fault). I contacted support who sent me a replacement glass free of charge so they get points for that.

This is a pretty basic ceiling fan. It doesn't come with a remote or a wall switch which is the norm for fans at this price point. It is nice looking and blends in well with my ceiling which is the look I was going for. I had no wobble at all at any of the three speeds.Installation was cumbersome. Attaching the fan blades to the motor wound up filling my cuss jar. Think about this, you're putting in 10 screws upside down on a ladder and they don't easily line up.Some installation tips:The rubber grommets that go in the fan blades are a bit stiff. Soaking them in hot (not boiling) water loosens them up so you don't have to push as hard.You really want a Phillips screwdriver with a magnetic tip. Useful for those fan blade screws and the assortment of small screws required to put this togetherBecause the blades are hard to install I connected four of them on the ground. The one opening was enough room for me to reach up and connect the canopy. And, that final blade is easier to install because you can line it up with the blades on either side.Hope this helps.

Dear Hunter, don't discontinue this fan! It is the perfect flush mount white fan with a light. Hunter's website didn't have this particular fan with a plain white light kit and 5 blades. Instead, they had something similar with only 4 blades and an etched design in the glass globe - not a fan of that look. I was surprised to find the exact fan I was looking for on Amazon, had no idea that Hunter had a store on Amazon. While I prefer to buy items like this directly from the manufacturer, this was as close to direct as you can get - even shipped from Hunter's warehouse. My fans run constantly 24/7 and you need quality that lasts - Hunter is the only brand I will buy. If you have any issues with any hunter fans, most likely you didn't install it correctly. The housing needs to be flush and you need a 3-way switch. Don't use a toggle switch to control fan speed. I was amazed to find this out. Now that I have an electrician that is fantastic and charges fairly, no more DIY electrical projects for me. My electrician installed a 3-way fan speed switch on both the newly installed fan and an existing fan that had been humming for years. While he wasn't sure if would work on the older fan (since I have been taxing the motor all these years). Now I have two whisper quiet fans. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The media could not be loaded.  Muy buen producto hace muy poco ruido, ilumina bastante bien. Compre 3 amarillos y uno blanco esperando que el blanco fuera luz blanca pero también trae focos amarillos Tnt y la medida de los focos no es la de los normales. Así que tendré que buscar qué medida es para comprarlos blancos.

The light is nice but the glass cover had a small crack.l’m trying to contact the hunter company for the glass cover replacement but so far there is no response

Easy to install with two people, very quiet, smart looking and the light is a good one. No wobbling due to the hugger style. Just wished it came with a remote.

Great fan once installed. Nice look, very quiet. Great price.Install was a little challenging for almost every key step:1) Hardware list and install instructions on separate documents...didn't realize they referenced each other until much later.2) mounting holes for ceiling bracket too wide for outlet box3) fan sits loose in ceiling bracket...not sure if this is right. Manual should be more clear.4) fan cover too tight to install over ceiling bracket, had to pound it in place5) routing of fan pull chain a little funny through light...more detail would be nice6) had messed up thread on motor side for one blade to motor install...glad I had a tread tap kit.7) plastic clip for light globe is hard to get off, interferes with pull chain. Will be pain to change light bulbs.Took 3 times longer than I expected to install with all these problems...would suggest a professional do it if you don't have the tools or troubleshooting experience.Final function of fan is great though and quiet as hoped.

Installation of this unit was very easy once the proper ceiling supports were in place. For me, that meant climbing through an attic to put in the proper blocking above the existing boxes. It is great that you are able to do this approach and are not limited to replacing the existing electrical boxes. Once that was prepared, the installation takes less than 30 minutes! They are VERY quiet, and can easily cool a small-medium sized room. The light is also quite bright with the two bulbs in this unit putting out more light than the 3 bulb light that this fan replaced. After 1 week of use, I am extremely happy with this purchase as we just finished 5 days of temperatures over 35C.
