Didn't fit my intended application.
I have only gave this one star as it did not fit my intended application. It was no reflection on the item, its just that I cannot review something that I didn't use. In fairness it did seem okay though. **UPDATE** I have updated the rating on this cable as I decided that it was unfair to score the product low because it didn't fit my application. As stated previously the cable looked good enough quality and on reflection, I think it is my original equipment that is the issue.

Copper coated steel Core
This coax does work but I'm sure it could be better, once id settled on my antenna position I wanted/needed to shorten the length and attach some new SMA connectors. For info the copper core is actually copper coated steel at .90mm diameter so in my case the SMA centre pin was to small so adjustment of the core was required. Also the braiding looks nothing like shown in the diagram, I would say around 60 at a push 70% coverage however it does have the foil wrap as shown. So basically I shortened 15mtr to 2mtr to get satisfactory result with direct line of sight to the mast at just less than 2 mile. Ended up with 30 down and 30 up.

Extremely good design, nice quality, and very good performance up to 3GHz
Male SMA to Female SMA nicely terminated and good strain relief on a high quality RG58 coax cable. Good VSWR and operating well up to 3GHz. Great for downlinks, antenna feeds, Receiver connection etc... i used this for a range of bands and i have to say its a nice quality cable. The version i had was 5m in length and its been out side on a GPS antenna for whole of autumn and winter, without any problems. I'm so pleased with this cable i am more than happy to buy more. Really pleased with the quality of the connectors. RG58 cable is a known really good RF cable with great screening, low parasitic effects and 50ohm impedance. Happy to highly recommend, Andrew.
