The White Company (Sir John Hawkwood Book 3)

John let’s the betrayal go like it was nothing , this is the last book I buy from this author , his men would think him weak and ineffective, they would loose all respect for him as a leader , also the time period, this author writes this character like he is a modern day , pc, beta male Englishmen . Dang !

Wow, the the white company was a real page-turner learning the history of Sir John hawkwood and his Conquest in the 14th century with men-at-arms archers against Italians French in any fold opposed is flag if you enjoy history as much as I do you must pick up this book find out all you can about Sir John Harwkwood the author put a realistic story in today's Times this should be made into movie I would gladly purchase the tickets

These books lack any drama. Hawkwood is a genius who never loses. Plate armor is worthless as Hawkwood and his men manage to cut through It regularly "as though the plate was not even there". The English longbow is treated as a sort of unbeatable laser weapon. zzzz

I just couldn't get thru this book. I've read so many of Mr Hoskers books and loved them but this character is unreadable for me. Hawkwood was a router, who massacred innocents. Not the leader of some great chivalrous army. This character would experience one event and be an all knowing, most experienced super soldier somehow. Hard pass

After starting read book one I bought all three in the series, it was so good and this book is no exception. I just can't put it down. I just see the life , the battles, the places, every time they eat, cook, I have to eat something the story is that descriptive. I am part of the company. Wow incredible writing, I can't wait for the next one.

Good book but glad the series is over. I feel I've accomplished something reading of the never ending detailed battles.

I have just read White Company and can hardly wait for the next volume to expand the new series. Well Done!

This is an enjoyable story. Very detailed but it brought you into the battles. I heartily recommend The White Company.

This is another great story by Griff and I can't praise it high enough. The setting is around about the 1400s and the action is told by the main character. I am reading my way through Griff,s books ,and each one is a winner,

Very good read. The narrative gallops along at the same pace as the horses. There must have been a lot of research gone in to this book. Educational in parts.There must be another book or two coming. I wonder when?

I like the way sir John Hawkwood manages his men and tactics.I do not like the constant raiding peaceful village acting like brigands .

Yet another great read. The way the story line connect from book to book allows you to really get to know the main character.

I liked it a lot and cannot wait for the next in the Series to be available in Hardcover/Paperback.
