These are good filters. From my experience there's not much of a difference from the regular blue filter vs the toxin purple filter. They both will eventually clear any smells, maybe the air has to cycle 1 extra time to accomplish this on the regular filter but you will save money buying the blue as the other two are a little more expensive. With that said, after about 3 months or so of constant use it will indicate you need a new filter. Thats very fast for a HEPA. If you just turn it on at night and off during the day the filters will last almost 9 months or so. I will lightly vacuum the filter once a month to keep it cleaner so when it indicates I need a new filter I know I can go probably another month before I buy one.

I have it outside my kitchen and where i used to setoff my smoke detector, i called it my kitchen timer, now I don't.

This is the best filter for the YIOU air purifier. The blue one that comes with it wasn’t all that great. This filter cost roughly $25/filter at the time of this post and it’s well worth the price.

I love this but it is too expensive!

I purchased a YIOU air purifier about a month ago. After a few weeks of running it on medium, and sometimes on high for a few minutes or so, it started emitting a really foul odor - like that of sweaty, dirty socks or smelly laundry. I made sure to check if the smell was coming from elsewhere but it was definitely coming from the air purifier. I took out the original air filter that comes in the air purifier and it barely had any dust in it. I smelled it and it didn’t smell bad, but the air purifier itself smelled horrible (and still does.) I vacuumed the original air filter and put it back in to see if it’d solve the problem but nothing changed. So, I purchased this purple toxin filter to see if it would do a better job but the bad smell is still there. I made sure that I was inserting the filters in correctly and even reset the machine so it registers it’s a new filter but the smell didn’t go away. When I contacted the seller with a question, their reply was unhelpful and inapplicable to my problem. The YIOU air purifier and the filter replacements are clearly of very poor quality. I just wasted about 100 dollars for nothing. Very disappointed. Unfortunately, since I threw the boxes away, I don’t think I can return them.
