I took off the plastic cap that sealed the opening of the bottle and put in only 3 sticks. A first, the smell was very strong and did not remind me of gardenia. Then after a few days, the intensity went down a little but it still smelled a little weird. This didn't hit the mark for me. For people who enjoy the smell, I would suggest making a hole in the plastic cap and inserting only one or two sticks at a time.

A dear friend loves the incredible scent of Gardenia! Every year I gift her something that’s Gardenia related ( room spray , cologne, candle) and this year for her bday I decided on a diffuser! It was a total HIT!Now when she enters the house it permeates every room and such a beautiful display! So yep… I definitely recommend it!

The oil and reed came wrapped securely and damage free. The bottle adds beauty to your decor and the scent is beautiful. Not to overwhelming. You may think you don’t smell it but it there . Just remember to flip the reeds periodically and place in an area where there is some traffic the flow of air help the scent to travel and fill the room.

Well I dunno, the bottle is nice looking and pretty but I had it in my small apartment bathroom with the door closed and for a week I never picked up on a scent nor anyone else in the place. I even dared to put my nose up to the sticks after I dipped them and nothing. So maybe a defect or expired or something if it even can do that but I got nothing. I gave stars because it’s pretty and came on time

The Gardena scent smells absolutely horrible, like chemicals. I returned them.
