Great way to strengthen some of the less sturdy desks (IKEA!). HEAVY duty, Works great.

These are desk savers if you have dual-monitor mounting arms! They help to spread out the pressure from your monitors and the arms so there's not a big ugly indent on the top and bottom of your desk. If you have a hardwood desk, you probably don't need this, but anything made from particle board or weaker materials will definitely benefit.I used these with a Lagkapten desktop from Ikea, and they helped to keep the desk from being damaged over time from the pressure. Even though they're a bit expensive for two pieces of aluminum, it's definitely worth it to keep from damaging your desk. Plus, they just look nice.Highly recommend!

So I have a super large heavy monitor, ratio is 16:9 weighing in at 26.6 pounds. I had gotten a heavy duty mount, whatever. But I have a particleboard desk from ikea. When I mount the first time, I broke my desk LOLI ended up ordering a new tabletop and getting this reinforcement plate. It’s nearly perfection. As you can see it still leans to the side a bit, but makes my monitor feel way more secure. Just wish there was some way to fix the leaning issue.Truly is a must have in my opinion.

My monitor arm has a relatively small foot to it. I was noticing a bit of monitor shaking but I didn't want to crank it down tighter and risk damaging my table. I used this monitor mount reinforcement plate to both stabilize the monitor and to protect my table.Two features I really like with this reinforcement place are:1) The plates have a thin rubbery material to protect the surface. It's not so thick and squishy that it compromises the support, but it's thick enough to protect the surface.2) The reinforcement plate is a set of two, one for the top and one for the bottom. Monitor arm mounts tend to have a larger footprint on the the top and a foot on the bottom. The second plate with this kit for the bottom helps distribute the force more evenly.When paired with a black monitor mount, this reinforcement plate blends in perfectly and looks like it is just another part of the original mounting kit.Overall, I'm happy with this reinforcement plate. My monitor arm is much more stable and I feel like my table is better protected.

Bought the plate bc my monitor stand was leaning to one side slowly, little by little overtime. My monitor is heavy (LG), my table is the IKEA LINNMON, and the mount itself is a side mount so yeah—it obviously was gonna start leaning at some point. Bc my table is hollow inside, the weight left a small dent overtime.Bought the reinforcement plate to add a solid firm foundation. Works great! Super satisfied! Monitor doesn’t lean, and is perfectly straight. Plate is pretty solid tbh, quality is high, and I highly recommend it if you have a similar problem.
