CTEK (56-531 Comfort Indicator Panel

I install these on all my Utv dashes so I can monitor the battery condition and plug the charger right into the dash when it needs a charge.

Great for watching the battery levels on my boat and UTV.

After buying a Ctek battery charger, I was looking for a way to charge without having to leave my hood open. I found this, but from what I understand, it is for mounting inside the vehicle. Well, my truck sits outside in the driveway, so it just isn't possible to leave a door or window open. I'm taking a chance here, but decided to cut a hole in my grille, and mount this there. I'm not sure if the silicone will show up in my first pic, but I did my best to seal the seams on the backside to make them water proof. I do not drive this truck after they start salting the roads, so it sits un-used till spring time. Hopefully, the Ctek being plugged in to the truck part of the winter will reduce my battery costs in the long run. So far so good, but I will update if moisture ends up killing it.

First, I want to say that I do like this panel and I like the convenience of being able to charge through it. I don't mind the LEDs flashing if the battery is low. A red or yellow flashing LED would be fine to get your attention, but the green flashing LED is super annoying, especially at night. While driving down the road, I see this bright flashing green LED out of the corner of my eye. It is really distracting. Finally, I put a piece of black electrical tape over the green LED. Why does the green one have to flash? It should just stay on if you have a full charge.

The CTEK panel plug is a really good, useful item that fits permanently in the car, providing easy access to connect to the charger as it is hard-wired to the Battery. Looking at the Panel, it's very easy to see if the battery needs charging with the 3-light system. I would highly recommend this for 4x4 cars, classic cars, and general cars that aren't used very often to help maintain the car battery and extend its life.

Super hilfreich und gute Qualität.

Nice bit of kit to connect easily my CTEK 5 charger/ conditioner to my Car (F type 3.0 R AWD 2017) Installed the connect point in the boot and electrics to car earth and to the brown connector in the boot connection box. Good videos on YouTube showing how to do it all. Remember DO NOT connect CTEK on F type to battery direct or the car will get confused and not know why/where this is extra charge is coming from and I am told it may even cause chip damage ! Don’t let this info put you off, follow the many videos and it’s really simple, and the plug looks professional in the boot.

Great item, perfect for my 'Classic' where the battery is under a Carpet, under a panel & behind the seats! Very awkward to access when the battery needs attention. This item allows me to monitor & service the battery just by looking at the 'Traffic Lights' on the dash. Great idea, works well & it arrived a day earlier than advised.
