Sochting Mini Oxydator - Increase Oxygen Level in Shrimps Fish Tank Aquarium

I decided to order after reading seeing posts of the overall health improvement in aquariums. I started with one for a tank and I swear within a few days my fish seemed more energetic. My shrimp had babies within a day of adding it (could be coincidence but there were tons of new babies) I had small amount of hair algae that I could manage by just hand removing completely disappear. I know have one for all of my tanks. the results are truly amazing.

After a few months dealing with hair algae in my 5 gallon shrimp tank, I took advise of a fellow shrimp keeper to get the oxydator to maintain good levels of dissolved oxygen for my cherry shrimp. They did fine without it but with me being always curious about new things, I decided to try it. Am I glad I did! Due to my shrimp tank also housing live plants, I do need a strong light to keep them happy. With strong light comes strong possibility of algae bloom. I've been dealing with algae problem on and off. After placing the oxydator most of the algae disappeared without a trace within 3 days. Plants seem to be healthier as well and my shrimp is active as never before. The seem to love the boost in oxygen level. All it is is a ceramic base with a glass vial filled with 6% food grade hydrogen peroxide plus two little pieces of catalyst. A very simple design but ingenious idea. One fill of H2O2 lasts about a week so I refill it during my weekly water change and maintenance. It's not decorative by any means but it definitely looks better than long, green and slimy algae. Besides it is easy to hide behind tank décor or plants which I intend to do.

Would work great for shrimp

This is one of the best products on the market and to this day, I still do not understand why not every person having a fish tank has one of those.The oxydator will oxygenate your water without the need of expensive pumps, air stones or filters. This is especially valuable for people adding CO2 to their tank water to ensure strong plant growth. Not having to create surface agitation will keep the CO2 inside the water clumn while the oxydator still ensures plenty of oxygen in the water.After adding the device into the tank, you'll see a change in bevahvior of your fish within 1 day: they become more active and feed better. Water becomes clearer and the existing filtration system is heavily supported.5 full stars from me!

After seeing this product on marks shrimp tanks i got this due to my shrimp seeming to be lethargic and not wanting to eat a lot over night all my shrimp are more active and are grooming the tank instead of hiding.

I've used the Oxydators for years in fish tanks and pond. They provide a steady, non-mechanical source of oxygen for fish in any water environment.

I used this to increase oxygen in my tank and to help knock back algae. It has definitely been helpful on both fronts. However, I wish it had more powerful catalyst's to create more tiny bubbles at a time. I would have no problem filling it more often as a trade off. It is a great little product though and I plan to add one to all my tanks. To the makers I recommend making larger versions for bigger tanks, but it is very discrete in the tank and I think it looks cool lol.
