Does what it should
Used for 1 show so far. Worked as it should. Seems like a solid build.

Does what it's supposed to
This is a solid little unit, seems quite strong, with a big switch you can't miss. I often have a cough from allergies and this foot operated kill switch works like a charm. My Shure Beta 57A is normally used for instruments, but I found it worked great for my voice and with being as sensitive as it is, this kill switch is a godsend. You have to keep your foot down for it to work. You can set it the other way too, keeping your foot on it to sing.

Great mute switch
Absolutely, a great product by ROLLS. It is user selectable (easy external access) to function as either a Press to Mute or Press to Talk. I received mine factory set to Press to Talk. I especially like the switch's surface since it can be comfortably operated by hand if it is used as a table mount or by foot (bare feet friendly) if its on the ground. It is suitable for both dynamic and condenser microphones. Depending on the instance/timing of pressing the switch, if it is pressed in the middle of a word/phrase, the switching may generate a slight noise. However, for the purposes of muting for a cough or a sneeze and activating the switch during a silent moment, there is no an issue at all. It is very sturdy built, and best of all it is "Made In USA"! Highly recommended.

Highly recommended
If you’re running a podcast using a mixer this is a must. Especially when using OBS. This is well made and works perfectly as either a cough button or push to talk. Can be used as a foot pedal or by hand on the desk. I recommend as a foot pedal.

Solid
Used this on my live streams for years. Had to replace the Tac switch once. Simple and effective.

Used for Talkback mic
I have a home studio (which doubles as a gaming room occasionally). This gives me a pretty comfortable option to be able to free up my hands and talk back to music clients or gaming friends.Deducted 1 star because pedal is a little uncomfortable to press down.

A very useful tool.
I record a weekly podcast. Two, in fact. I am also the editor. This little box has made my life ten times easier. I have one, as does my associate. Before, we would be coughing and sputtering and clearing our throats, all of which was rendered immortal into our DAWs. I would then have to go through with a fine-toothed comb and hunt down all the nasty little noises, because nobody wants to hear that. Now, we can do all that to our hearts' content, knowing that none of it will reach our recording. The construction of this box is quite sturdy, and I feel comfortable setting it on the ground and using my foot to activate it. Of note is that it only works when it's being pushed; this is not a problem fir me, but if you're looking something more like a switch, this isn't it. However, it's a great product and I'm thrilled to have it.

Worked perfectly..... for a year
Even though I feel like I got my money's worth, I was upset that it began getting stuck in the "on" position after just a year of solid use. I inspected every corner, made sure my internal switch wasn't stuck, and cleaned it as much as I could without disassembling it (which is next).I use it to mute my talk back mic from a control room to a recording studio. It never left the room so there was really no wear and tear besides stepping on it (from a chair, so less than 50 lbs - not my entire body weight)You would think a foot pedal would be built sturdy enough to be stepped on a for at least a few years. Maybe I got a bad build but it began getting stuck and leaving my mic on when it should be muted. I need my hands free so I can type and control other devices so the foot pedal is perfect, but I may need to get a top of desk version - unless someone can recommend a sturdier and more reliable foot pedal.

Very Solid
A very solid build with this switch, which indicates it should last many years. It's made in the USA and not China, which might explain its one weakness, price. Other than price it works 100%.

Well-built with silent operation. Pleased with my purchase.
I was a bit nervous about this product as I purchased it before noting a review where one owner reported an audible click when using the switch to cut the mic in and out. I've now owned mine for approximately a month and have used it successfully with the following Behringer, Shure, Blue Yeti, and Heil microphones. All of my cabling is shielded XLR - not cheap stuff, either. The latter two require 48V Phantom power. The ROLLS MicMute has performed flawlessly. I've not once encountered an audible click when using this unit set to PTT (my default) or PTM (just for testing). The construction is excellent and my teen daughter has already performed several bounce tests of the unit as she is rather brain dead early in the morning. (Argh.) The unit bounced off a cement driveway rather nicely, although that test wasn't planned in advance.Very pleased with this purchase and am budgeting for two more after X-mas if the missus doesn't take the hint and get them for me as prezzies instead. These are worth owning.Update: Oct 24, 2015 -- Just ordered a second unit. We often podcast as a team and need two of these when doing sports commentary.

Works amazing
I use it as a push to talk mic talkback. Seamless on off mute button. No « clicking » sound when engaging the button.
