Beautiful door that YOU MUST ASSEMBLE don’t be like me and not realize that!
This door is very nice and looks amazing considering it’s relatively inexpensive. I originally wanted to knock off a star because even though I thought I’d read the description carefully and looked through the description photos and the all of the reviews I *still* managed to be surprised when the very narrow box arrived full of pieces I needed to assemble. I somehow thought that the word DIY and everyone saying it was easy to put together meant that assembling and hanging the hardware was easy. But that was totally on me because after going back and reading again, it’s clear that you must put the entire door together. Once I got over my surprise I quickly got to work. I did end up sanding the edges a bit before assembly but overall it’s all cut and routed very nicely. The instructions are clear and after I laid everything out on the floor, it all slid together easily and screwed together without any issues. I did need to do a final sand with a block and caulk a few seams before priming and painting, but that’s not unexpected. Don’t hesitate to buy this door. The quality is as high or higher than buying one at a big box hardware store and the price is excellent. It took me about 45 minutes to put this together but now that I know what to do, it would probably take only 15 minutes. Since it was just me putting it together, I found that having something to prop it up on as you are sliding the boards into the side piece really helped. I used a heavy chair. I’m handy enough but I don’t usually do stuff like this, so if I can do it, anyone can! I haven’t hung the rail yet, but it looks good and is as heavy as other barn door rails I’ve installed. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great value and good quality
I was not going to get a new door but in the process of renovations decided a barn door would be perfect for my needs. I hunted around and thought this looked good and seemed sturdy enough. My contractor had no problems installing or assembling. It has only just been installed so I can't say to its longevity I suspect that it will be fine. On my next project I will purchase a double one; if I decide not to go with a pocket door. Its been a few weeks now and my door has warped--very frustrating and very annoying. The door is not situated near a lot of moisture.

Nice door
Although the assembly was very easy, most of the thinner center pieces of the door components were a little challenging but when I added the diagonal pieces it made the door look very nice.Got the door hung and it actually looks pretty good. The hardware is very good and the kit comes sand paper and gloves for finishing.

Perfect DIY!
The media could not be loaded. My husband and I bought a fixer-upper. And in order to save money we have been DIYing everything. We took down a closet in our house and we had closet doors that I up-cycled cut in half to use as shutters on the inside of the house. I used this barn door hardware and attached it to the old doors/ shutters. It was super easy to install and the glides roll perfectly smooth. We will be renovating our basement soon, and I already plan on ordering another set for down there!

Good quality
This is very heavy and sturdy. I can’t use it for my current project but I’m keeping it to use later. I intended to use it for my spare room closet and the doors aren’t heavy and only 1” thick. This item would be better for a larger door

Sturdy but rail came in two pieces.
The instructions were pretty good, but one thing that puzzled us was the step where the round things were installed on the front/top of the doors. It keeps the door from jumping off the track. I don’t think it mattered how far from the door hangers we put them. We put them about an inch inside the hangers on both sides. We have trim, so we had to build out the “header” so that it was flush with our existing trim so that the door wouldn’t hit on the bolts on the wall side of the door. Our door is 1 3/4” thick. For the doors to close all the way, we had to put the door hanger/roller on the inside of the door trim. The thing you have to strongly consider is the depth off the wall if you have trim and that the hangers are placed such that the doors closes all the way. We didn’t use the floor guide hardware that came with the kit because we don’t have a router. I’m glad we didn’t because it took so long for us to paint the door trim that the doors warped a little. We bought some that screw into the wall and you can adjust the base with different rollers. Make sure your wall is super flush and straight and I guess shim if necessary. Our wall bowed slightly on the right side and the rail is so rigid (for obvious reasons) that it scrapes a little on the right when we close the door. I think I will put an extra washer or two behind that one screw on the rail to straighten it out. We followed the directions precisely, and the height they said in the instructions worked out perfectly. It left about a half inch gap at the bottom of the door for air return when closed. The rail connector didn’t hold it level, and wasn’t as sturdy as I would have liked, so we didn’t connect them until we had one side hung completely. We took our time and it took about 4 hours from start to finish.
