Downton Abbey - A Celebration

EXCELLENT ,BEYOND WORDS ,TV SERIAL .I USED TO BE GLUED TO THE TV SCREEN MOMENT THE EPISODE STARTED .ITS FANTASTICALLY AMAZING TO ASSIMILATE HOW EVERY ASPECT LIKE, CHOOSING OF ACTORS ,,CREATING COSTUMES DRAPERIES,ORNAMENTS,,SELECTION OF VEHICLES OF EARLY TWENTIETH CENTURY ,GRANDEUR OF PA;LACES ,GARDENS ,OUTDOORS .ETC ETC IS JUST FAN-TASTING .THIS SERIES ,NOT ONLY AN EXTREME PLEASURE TO WATCH BUT LEARNING TO VIEWERS LIKE ME BUT LESSONS TO THOSE IN FILM AND TV SERIALS MAKING ..THE BOOK ON THIS SERIES IS ALSO BEAUTIFULLY DESCRIBES VARIOUS CHARACTERS IN VERY LUCID MANNER .THE QUALITY OF BOOK IS JUST FANTASTIC AS REGARDS PRINTING ,PAPER AND PHOTOGRAPHS ETC ETC.

I had ordered this book from another seller prior to this but there were issues so I wanted a book that would hopefully be in great shape and I do have it now. i am thrilled beyond words!

The book has beautiful photos and a lot of interesting information about the Series, and all the different locations that were used for Filming.Additionally, it gives you further insight into how people who were in service, & the Lord & his family lived at the turn of the 20th Century, & how the small villages supported the House. So much more information about the life of people living in this era. I have the book at hand, and I will read a bit about each character before watching it again on Netflix. I saw the Exhibition in November of 2019, at the Biltmore in Asheville, NC. It was Fantastic, they had recreated, most of the Kitchen, Carson & Ms Hughes offices, and the dining room for the servants.Lady Mary’s bedroom, and several other Key parts of the house using holograms. The costumes up close are a work of art. Buy this book.

Paid less than four quid for it so can't complain really!

un libro muy completo que habla (en inglés) de los diferentes aspectos históricos, sociales, culturales y anecdóticos de la creación de D.A. el rodaje y sus personajes. Muy interesante y magníficamente ilustrado. Abarca hasta casi el final de la serie, antes de que las pelis empezaran a arruinar Downton Abbey, con lo cual es todo todavía perfecto. Por este precio resulta sorprendente un producto de tan alta calidad. Y tan grande y bonito que queda bien hasta en el salón. Por poner un pero, la impresión de las fotografías resulta mortecina en cuanto a gama de color y es como si les faltara tinta en algún cartucho o tuvieran la gama baja o es que el papel no acepta mejor impresión.
