The Maxxhaul was purchased primarily to transport an battery powered wheelchair. Admittedly it took me a little bit to put it all together but with it on my truck it's sturdier than I expected. I got it at a really good price. I would give it a recommendation for anyone in the market for one

Works as Advertised
This is a great product. Often times when ordering a product like this online, you are unable to put your hands on the product to feel the fit and finish of the work. This product is well cut, easy to assemble and unlike other sheet metal products that require assembly the parts were smooth and free from burrs and or sharp edges. I am using this ramp on my F150 to transport my snowblower to clear driveways. This ramp does not clog with snow, the pins for the ramp are easy to maneuver with gloves on. The height of the ramp from the ground has made loading and unloading the snowblower a breeze.

Sometimes you make a good buy and sometimes you don't. Sometimes you make an EXCELLENT buy and I rate my MAXXHAUL 80799 as one of those! I researched this purchase hard before pulling the trigger because I knew it would be very hard to return. I have loved this carrier ever since I finished the (somewhat tedious) job of assembling it. I originally bought this carrier because I have a very long driveway and I have to get multiple garbage bins out to the street every Sunday night and back to the house every Monday morning. Walking those bins out was a nonstarter! I wanted/needed the ramp so that I didn't have to lift anything up onto the carrier platform. This product has exceeded all expectations in that regard. A few hacks: I have not affixed the ramp permanently; like other reviewers have suggested, I bought longer cotter pins from Home Depot and I simply insert those when I need to attach the ramp. (Note: attaching the ramp to the carrier AFTER inserting the carrier into my car hitch receiver makes it much easier for me (70 years old) to lift the carrier up for installation. And, obviously, taking the ramp off before removing the platform, makes it much easier to remove.) Using the longer cotter pins makes it super easy to attach and detach the ramp. After several months of successful use of the carrier for the 100 yard trip up and down my driveway, I decided to give the carrier its FINAL EXAM. My girlfriend and I have just returned from a 15-day, 11 state, 3,500 mile road trip and the cargo carrier rode the Interstate Highways at 85 mph like a freaking champ. Of course, I bolted down HARD the anti-wobble plate for that trip (I don't use the plate when I'm on my driveway). We packed all sorts of stuff on the carrier and secured it all quite simply using bungie cords that looped through the 4 metal eye-hole loops that screw on to the carrier platform. I super strongly recommend this product.

Takes a bit of work to bolt on all of the vertical support pieces but totally worth the effort!
After I had spent an hour or so to put together the supports and installed this in my trailer hitch and took my snowblower to my local dealer to get it started, I saved $40 which is the cost of having the dealer come and get your snowblower. I left the unit on just to test the sturdiness and longevity of the bolts which I installed. It works great and saved me about $300 from a local store's similar unit !!! Also easy to take off and hang up in your garden shed. Worth every dollar and every minute it took me to put it together!

Works well for snowblower
First off, you CAN make this so the ramp goes on the drivers side, which if you're moving a snowblower is what you want to do. Trying to load or unload into the snowbank on the side of the road is a bad idea. Also as someone else mentioned you should go buy two clevis pins and replace the bottom bolts in the ramp with them, now the ramp will fold nearly flat by removing the bottom pins and folding it on the top pins.Pros: Quite sturdy, though I wouldn't stand on it while loading anything. Assembly means you can put it together the way you like. Pretty light.Cons: The box was so full of aluminum filings it was mind boggling. Aluminum burrs across all metal surfaces that were drilled. Box contents were almost enough to build it (box was short a couple of bolts and a few were the wrong ones), instructions are a joke. Technically says "Max speed 55 MPH" but seemed unphased with a snowblower on it doing 70 on the interstate. Tie down eye bolts are flimsy at best. Takes an eternity to bolt together (over 75 small bolts to assemble).I know the cons list is longer than the pros list but it does the job with minimal fuss and the price is right. I have it on the back of a full size truck.
