VeloFuze Tubeless Rim Tape - 21mm
T**R
It’s a roll of yellow tape what goes on my rims.
I really like my Velocity A23 wheelset. But dang!!!! Getting a tire on them was about like wrastling with a gator. After getting the feeling back in my fingers from the last go round I decided to do some investigating.....turns out the wheel maker finished the job with regular cloth tape...fine for most I reckon, however, the Velocity web site instructions for the A 23 rim specifically state the application of thin 21mm tubeless tape (one layer for < 45 psi; two layers for > 45 psi). And even though I’m running tubes and never once gave a thought to rim tape ever in my life unless it was worn and causing flats I took my mangled bleeding fingers, logged into Amazon to peruse a selection of this stuff, and There it was; yellow, 21mm wide, 1mm thick, tape. I bought this stuff and I wound those rims 2x each and put my tires on that wheelset; I tell ya, it was like the first time...maybe Foreigner was playing in the background, I don’t know, but I digress. My tires now go on with nary an issue to report, no tools needed...just fingers...no pinchy ouchies, no cussing, no tire tools zinging cross the way looking to poke my eyes out, and that’s a beautiful thing. The point I guess I’m trying to make is this stuff is rim tape, it’s thin, yellow, and 21mm (or whatever size suits your purposes). I bought a second roll with the idea I’d make my gravel/winter wheelset tubeless (they are purportedly tubeless ready so I reckon I’ll find out soon enough).

Awesome
Really easy to apply and has kept me flat-free since installing it. Using the right width tape for wider rims is crucial. I have found that local shops always stock 19mm tape, and with more people riding wide rims, the narrow tape moves and you get flats!
