Mixed feelings
I have a lot of mixed feelings about this book. I the beginning I didn't like Indy, I almost didn't like him enough that I almost stopped reading the book. Luckily the author was quick enough to turn things around and I suddenly liked Indy a lot.The major thing to give me mixed feelings is that I'm the sort of person who likes maybe a couple of sex scenes thrown in with a good story, and this book is 95% sex and 5% story. When they aren't having sex they are talking about sex.Part of me does want to find out what happens next, but part of me is still so mad about the end of this book that I'm not sure yet if I'm going to download the next one.Warning, the rest of my review will contain spoilers because I just have to get it out about why the end makes me mad.First of all, I'm not fond of ménage romances, this book is on the boarder line of not being one, but just barely, and when Indy and Noah finally become a couple Noah wants to still have sex with Josh but doesn't want Indy to have sex with Josh. It made me very angry at Noah, and then angry at Indy for being okay with that. Also, there were so many unresolved issues, and I'm only mildly mad about that because it's hinted in the next book's preview that the unresolved issues will carry over into the next book.

Honest and Raw
Honest and raw, this series is starting with the promise of friendships and love. No Filter is book one of four in the No Shame Series. This is the first fiction book published by Nora. And if it wasn’t obvious from the book cover & synopsis, it is MM. With a hint of MMM and it is mmm, mmm hot! I read this in one sitting with a few breaks for food and mom stuff. It was that intriguing.Indy is on the run. Due to an unfortunate wrong place, wrong time situation, he ends up staying with Josh and Noah to recuperate from his injuries. While discovering the depth of love and friendship that Josh and Noah share, Indy slowly allows himself to be included in their cocoon of safety. Secrets are shared. Bonds are formed and strengthened. And while we don’t get the full ending of Indy and Noah’s romance, the cliffhanger is more like gliding off the edge of the cliff to another one not that far away. So yes, there will be more, but the story has a solid closing and you don’t feel like you are left hanging. For a first-time fiction book, the writing is solid. A few parts of the story seemed to jump from one perspective the other within the next paragraph, but, believe it or not, it works for this story. This isn’t your hearts and flowers romance. It is emotional, full of angst and the characters are flawed and even broken. The romance comes from sharing those flaws, accepting them and loving each other despite or even because of them.I have already pre-ordered book 2 (No Limits), which is coming just a month after this one. And I believe books 3 and 4 are a month each after that. I am a totally series junkie and love that I will not have to wait too long to read all of this one.

I wish I had found this book so much sooner
I had heard about this series but didn't really know anything about it. But then I saw some posts on social media that peaked my interest and I knew that I had to read it.Nora had me from the first "wicked." When Indy called Josh Patriot Guy and kissed him, I was all in. And when I saw the love and commitment between Josh and Noah, I melted. But I was a little unsure how Indy would fit into the mix. I loved the way the story unfolded. It was different from other stories I've read. These guys were simply amazing. The connections, the friendship, the love and the sex...I couldn't stop reading. I literally stayed up all night because I couldn't put it down. Now onto Josh's book.

Not your conventional love story, but still sexy and fun!
This book was a pleasure to read, though I'll admit that I was thrown for a loop at the beginning, trying to figure out the dynamics between Indy, Noah, and Josh. The focus is on Indy and Noah, but Josh plays a big part in the story, too, and there were definitely clues hinting at a future love interest for him. How that will all play out, I don't know, but can't wait to see. This is not your conventional menage or triad, but it's also not cheating. I only WISH there was communication in most books like these guys have. They are open, they talk about things, and they build trust and friendship that is beautiful to see. And did I mention that this is SMOKING HOT!?!?! Phew!

Good story
3.5 stars.I'm not really sure what I thought about this book. It was very different from what I expected it to be where Indy, Noah, and Josh would be in a loving relationship, but it turned out to just be between Indy and Noah with Josh on the sidelines for sex. I found it a little hard to relate to as a believer in monogamy, but it worked really well for them. There's lots of hurt/comfort here which warmed my heart. Knowing that there was baggage for the characters, but not knowing what, kept me intrigued. There's definitely kind of a cliffhanger here, but I don't mind 'having to' read book two-No Limits (No Shame #2), because it is Josh's story, and he is such a sweet character.

So good...
No Filter is the first book in Nora Phoenix's No Shame Series. This is not the end of their story,it continues on in book two.In No Filter we are introduced to Indy, Noah and Josh and get to see how they get to know each other. Each of these men are beautiful but broken in some way. Indy on the run from demons from his past,, and a real danger that may attack st any time. Josh and Noah carrying the physical and emotional scars of military service. Together they share their bodies and their hearts. The story is definitely steamy. Its a polyamorous relationship, and the men are trying to figure out their feelings and their roles... there is angst, drama, sexytimes and some sweet moments between them. These are complex characters with complex issues... the story is done beautifully. There is some dark subject matter covered in this story, it is not a mushy kind of love... it's dark, it's hard, its raw... and it's perfect.

Expected better - disappointed.
This is the 1st book in a big series and I really expected better. The tale is well written but it lack the bite to keep you full interested to read from chapter to chapter. I will probably read book two just to see if the story gets a little more exciting but I will not go out and download it to my kindle straight away as I have other books to read which if the hold up to the publicity will be better than "No Filter". I really expected more from this book.
