I can't count how many empty cans I have discovered in the shop that used to contain solvents of one type or another. Opening the can, getting some on a shop towel and all over the floor and then doing whatever needs doing before the rag dries, works my head into thinking about the project rather than about putting the lid back on the can. By the time I remember, some or all of that can is empty and I get to buy another one. This larger size (1 qt vs the 1 pt size) holds more than I need from a use standpoint, but I can just pour the solvent in and forget it. It commands lots of flat surface space, but it is stable and visible and I absolutely love it.

This is a critical tool! But I wish knew why the price can vary by more than $20 when I go to get another one.

Functionally this is a great tool for any DIYer storing Acetone, paint thinner or comparable chemical - it leads to less loss of the liquid due to dripping or spilling and the plunger gives great distribution on a towel/paper towel. For $40 the finish work on the cans should be much better, as you can see in the photos the welds and seams are shotty, at best and the painting/coating is poorly applied. I don’t mind paying extra for a great product, which functionally this is but Justrite needs work in their finishing and quality control departments as the finished products sent to customers reflect poorly on the brand
