Double 54-in x 31-in White Vinyl Mailbox Post Sleeve (mailboxes not Included)

You need a post to put this on, but easy.

As advertised, product was sturdy and easy to install. I installed the mailbox brackets before putting the cross arm on the post. This was a recommendation from another review, and it's good advice. Allowed me to install the two mailbox brackets (they were purchased separately) evenly on the cross arm. I then installed the actual mailboxes after the post and cross arm were attached. Hardest part of the assembly was ensuring the wood post underneath was straight.

My neighborhood ordered 9 Handy Posts sleeves from Cook Products back in June of 2019. As of October, we've installed 6 so far. Some end caps and hardware were missing in the beginning. Contacted Cook Products and they sent out the parts, plus extra hardware.Please Note: we had to trim the corners of the PT 4 X4 posts for the sleeve to slide over it. Otherwise, installation went well, instructions were clear.Recently, some of the end caps developed cracks. Checked the remaining boxes to discover cracks in a couple of the other end caps. Took photos and emailed Cook Products. Again, they got right on it and sent us replacements, plus an extra.It is refreshing to deal with a company the stands behind the product they sell. It has been a pleasure dealing with them and recommend them. So far, we have been happy with the posts. We attached solar lights on the side of the posts for nighttime visibility.

Good product, took about 45 minutes to install, plus. Strip to Home Depot for replacement decking wood that was rotten. Suggest adding predrilled holes or securing system for mailbox in future versions. Looks so much better than our mangled duck tape, bungee cord, 50 screw attempt to hold the old one in place!

Had to add new wholes in mailbox to make it work. Other than that it seems to be a good product.

It looks good and the quality seems fine. I am not rating it higher because it took a lot of extra work to get it installed. I had to get a wooden post from Home Depot, embed the post in cement and then figure out how to affix the actual mail boxes onto the cross bar. Not having an obvious way to affix the mailboxes is the biggest deficiency. Also, there is no way it would have been sturdy enough installed over one of the two foot non-cemented posts that were suggested during the purchase process. Given the price and the fact that much of that work might have been required for any other post as well, I would probably purchase it again.

The mailbox post sleeve was easy to install over the existing post, and it looks so pretty! My mail lady declared it "perfect". Thank you for this product!

Our old double mailbox pole was rotting and looked even worse. I ordered the mailbox sleeve and our handy man had it installed in 15 minutes! Looks great.
