Bought for my 90 year old Dad as he continued to hit wrong button on his satellite receiver remote and get the TV off the proper input. The fact that you can program each button individually is a huge benefit (for use) but somewhat of a tedious task when doing set up.All in all it solved the issue and he now does NOT mess up the system any longer and he can surf channels happily.Edit - programming of buttons started to fail - May happen after batteries get removed (or it falls on floor and the batteries come out). Became far too frustrating to deal with as was no longer reliable.

Perfect big button remote, works great with a Sony TV.

Does not work with DIRECTV satellite box

Purchased this for my dad who has cognitive issues and large fingers. I thought it would be easier for him to use. However, I didn't realize it does NOT work with a cable box. So this did not work for him. My mom threw out the box, so now am stuck with it. If you have a cable box DO NOT buy this remote, it will not work as it is for the TV controls only.

Used to replace a standard remote for my father-in-law who is 92. His hands are weak and he shakes and has trouble with all the many buttons on his normal remote. Frankly, I don't know what half of them do either.I bought this oversized button with fewer useless options so it would be easier for him to control his tv. Set up was fast, it worked on his Sharp 65 4k tv right out of the box. But for some reason, it was really slow to respond. I entered the code from the list which took several attempts before it started working and seemed faster to us after using the manual codes instead of the pre-programmed settings.It works from any point that he can see the tv and he is happy with the large simplified buttons.
