To say that I'm in love with this book, would be the understatement of the year. 🫂This book is all about the characters, the writing is stunning and I can't stop thinking or talking about it.I'm an easy person to please, give a slow book, somewhat unlikeable characters and I'm happy - this book made me the happiest. 🫀I do have a love and hate relationship with Cleo, or maybe it's the people around her that make me dislike her - looking 👀 at you Quentin. That said, I feel protective of her, I wanted to make sure she was ok, that she could stand up for herself, find joy in the little things and live life for herself! (I need to keep reminding myself that these are fictional characters) 🫠Frank, oh Frank... He was a fascinating character to get to know and read about - yet, whenever he spoke, (mostly when he was talking to Cleo) I kept shouting, writing on the page borders “JUST SHUT UP FRANK, pls just shut up”. 🤐It's very difficult for me to explain my hatred for Frank, without spoiling the plot, just know that I feel very strongly about it and I could talk for hours.There is one character that did feel like a breath of fresh air and that's Eleanor. She was wonderfully ordinary - her jokes, her mother, her life - it reminded me too much of myself, and it did get on my nerves and I wanted her to go away!!What can I say, I love tragic characters and seeing well-adjusted women in the midst of it all just threw me off my comfort zone. 🙃Coco Mellor does a great job at describing how two people in love can overlook the world around them and how it all can fall apart.

The book held my interest well enough but I really disliked most of the characters. I need to relate to at least one character in a book and there was not that character in this book
