Is this product supposed to smell like Perming solution? It smells terrible!!!

I just bought the 1% retinol skin Brightener directly from ZO company. To me it does smell like perm solution! I’m actually kind of scared to use it again… It smells like perm solution or like sulfur or rotten eggs… Just terrible! And I know I could’ve gotten a bad or a counterfeit bottle. Because I ordered it directly from the Zo company.

What color is the cream? Mine is more yellow than white. Does that mean it's bad?

Mine is white ! Maybe the oil was on top and if by second or third usage still yellow , it may be old.
