I've never bought a bandana that the washing instructions said hand wash, but I put it in a lingerie bag & threw it in with the regular wash. Air dried on the counter & so far it's fine. It's very soft, too. I use it for hiking and gardening. Not sure yet about durability.

today every ones luggage looks the same.... all black... I tied this around my luggage handle and could easily find it at the airport!

Good product Nicely packaged. It is a different color than what was pictured (and I realize that everyone's computer screen shows colors differently). But the package it came in was golden yellow (which is what I wanted), and the product itself is actually more of a light lemon yellow. Too much trouble to return it - so I will go ahead and use it.
