Nice kit!
Let me get this out of the way first. My kit arrived missing the two lights for the last step in the installation process. Of course I didn’t notice until I actually got to the last step! My fault there! I immediately sent an email to [email protected] and within a few hours they had responded and were getting the missing lights shipped out to me. I will say, Briksmax customer service is excellent. 5 Stars! Now for the kit itself. I am a bit of an outlier when it comes to reviewing the kit on the basis that it would be installed according to the installation guide. I hate seeing wires on my lit up lego sets so I actually modify the legos to run the wire through the set. This takes much more time in thinking through the best way to install the light kit but with some tools (pin vise, drill bits, files, hobby knife, etc..) the results are way more rewarding. The kit itself is as described. I cannot review it on the normal process of installation but I’m sure it would be just fine for those a bit less OCD than myself.Overall, 5 stars. It was exactly as I expected it to be and sure, I was initially missing two lights but the customer service took care of that with a simple email.

The Empire would approve
One of several Briksmax light kits I've installed, and had a great time working on this one! If this is your first kit, be patient, because it's any number of Legos can fall off if you're not careful. I really liked this kit because the colors are not overstated, but there are plenty of lights to go on and around. I chose not to light up the sign, and improvised a few steps, so the photo with this review may not 100% match the manufacturer's images. The instructions were very clear, and lights were well packaged!

Nice Addition to the Imperial Probe Droid.
Just did multiple kits and no issues with any of them (that weren't created by wire chewing cats). These kits require some deductive reasoning and ability to work with small parts. They use pictorial instructions that can be hard to follow at times, but looking ahead can usually reveal what they were getting at. There generally is enough wire that even if you make a mistake and don't want to start over you can still get the wire where it needs to go. My first recommendation for building one of these kits it to get out the battery pack and one of the junction boards so you can test lights after they have been installed, but before moving on to the next step. I located Briksmax's website and it is possible to order individual bags of parts (not the easiest to find, got there through a link on one of the products descriptions), either on their website or through Amazon. I was very impressed that Briksmax purchases actual Lego pieces for any parts that they include in the kit.

DANGER! Wires overheat and will burn you.
I picked up this kit and it took me about an hour to install and I have some MAJOR issues with it. First and foremost above all aesthetic issues I have with the set is the fact that the wires overheat if left on for a while, mine were only on for 2 hours and they burned the hand of my 3-year-old son when he touched them. Not only do the wires heat up but also the plugs that all the wires plug into heats up. I wish I had a laser thermometer so I could show how hot it is. That, above EVERYTHING else, is the reason why I gave this one star and cannot recommend it to ANYBODY. We're actually kind of nervous that it might be a fire hazard and so I will only be lighting it up to show people and then turning it off immediately. If the fact it might burn your house down wasn't enough, the kit itself is not an easy assemble, the wires are VERY visible throughout and if you look at my pictures you can see that not only are the wires visible in the back and down the center stalk but also around the neck and the main eye of the probe droid. Then, if you can get past the wires being obscenely hot AND visible, the lights themselves are far too bright. With the level of brightness these things put out there is no immersion whatsoever and the kit and it looks like a giant bright Christmas tree robot. Lastly is the materials that they give you. There are four tiny LED lights that require the provided double-sided sticky tape to hold them up to the model (the first set goes underneath the body of the droid and the second set are the lights that illuminate the name plate). This double-sided "sticky tape" is in fact double-sided but it is NOT sticky in any shape or form, and your LEDs hang and do not shine where they're supposed to. Also there are 2 white lights that they don't even hide or put under a lens... it just sits in the middle of 3 Lego which make it look and feel like a very lazy design. When I finished putting this together I wasn't very happy with it but I thought I could get at least get by with not having to see the wires if the lights are out, yet the simple fact that it burned my 3-year-old when he touched it forced me to write this stupid long review. I cannot recommend this light to anybody, both for the generated heat it creates and the fact that it could actually be a fire hazard. If it wasn't so difficult to disassemble the entire kit I would just box it up and mail it back... for now it's simply gets turned on to show somebody the lights and then gets turned immediately off which defeats the whole purpose of the kit. DO NOT BUY!!!!

Not easy to install but very satisfying when complete.
This os my second lighting kit from Briksmax. My first was the Friends coffee shop and all the lighting came embedded in the replacement bricks they supplied. For the Imperial Probe Droid the labor was much more intense due to the fact the Droid is not on a stand that is very supportive and bricks came off the Droid all the time. Not the fault of Briksmax. The quality of the lighting is top notch. The wiring is sturdy as it has to be compressed under or in between bricks in order to hide as much wire as possible. Lights are bright and the connectors are also tiny but tough enough to withstand my beefy hands. Overall great kit....VERY GOOD QUALITY. I'll be coming to Briksmax again as I have a bunch of other Lego kits waiting to be built. Cheers.

Not a bad light kit but some issues
The wires are a bit thick and the instructions are confusing in places. The lights are actually a bit too bright

Nice light but....
The light kit is very nice and well done. My only issue or complaint with them is the 2 white lights that go next to each other are very bright, a little too bright as they will light up a dark room. Now the 3rd white light they have you put by itself is perfect, not too bright but not too dark and isnt nearly as distracting as the other 2.All the other lights and colors are perfect brightness and color shades.

Just doesn't fit!
So after building Lego kits and adding light kits. This is the worst I've had to work with. The lights supplied are moulded to big. The first pack A10 had the red block missing.Top tip- test the lights prior to building. 2 failures and left it too late to return.
