Amazon Basics PTC Ceramic Wet to Dry Hair Straightener, 3.8 cm Plate - Black

So my GHDs broke, and I ordered new one but they were going to take 5 days to deliver - so I thought I’d buy this lil cheap pair to see me through? Well fast forward 2 days later and I’d cancelled my GHDs because OMG these are the best straighteners I’ve ever owned in my life😭.These are unbelievable, they leave my hair soft, shiny and straight. My hair stays straight all day and I’m seriously impressed by these.I’ve now had them since September and I’ve had nothing but compliments on how shiny and healthy my hair looks.Buy them!! They’re worth it🤩🤩.

I use these daily and I get the result I want.I go from fluffy, wavy hair to sleek and straight.I prefer them to my GHD straightener.I've used them on slightly damp hair and still get the same result but not tried on wet hair yet so I can't say if they're similar to Remington Wet to Straight.But so far so good.

These are great for the price, I work away from home two days a week and didn’t want to risk taking and potentially damaging or losing my ghds so for these. They heat up quick (take a while to cool back down so be careful where you put them when you’re done) you can adjust the temp which is also great, only downside for me (may well be a plus for some!) is that the plates are quite wide and if you have finer hair like mine is, then they leave quite a noticeable ‘kink’ near the scalp and you end up having to go over sections and trying to get right up to the scalp to get rid of them.They’re ‘wet and dry’ but in my experience it feels like you’re frying your hair a bit if you use it on damp hair, might just be me though! I prefer to air dry or blow dry then use these, as it minimises how much heat you’re applying as you won’t have to go back over sections that aren’t 100% dry before use. So overall would really recommend for the price (under £20 when I purchased) just be careful to use smaller sections of your hair is finer so it doesn’t ‘kink’ with the wide plates.

Bought these as my beloved GHDs died a sudden death so I needed a quick replacement.Perfect they reached temperature quickly and are easy to handle.I haven't tried the Wet to Dry yet but happy with the way they straighten.MY only opinion is the wire isn't long enough from lower wall (floor) socket to head height and I am only 5ft 2in I prefer to stand when straightening my long hair so all depends on plug socket positions.Other than that they are great.

The best straighteners I've ever bought ,practically given up using my GHDs .I have long ,fine ,wavy coloured hair ; which I blow dry to damp ,set these straighteners to 160c and they work perfectly ,my hair does feel less damaged than when I blow dry completely and use ordinary straighteners .

I’m sure they work fine, but my uncle is bald so they are an unwanted present.

To my surprise this is the best hair straightener I have ever purchased!This was needed for my daughter who has very long, frizzy, bushy central american hair. With her being 16 she wanted to straighten it for the start of school (a Princess Diaries moment almost lol). This was incredibly easy to use, with large plates that heated incredibly quick. Took about 40 mins to straighten her massive amount of hair n it looks immaculate!I would advise purchasing heat-resistant hair straightening gloves to use with it as it just about burnt my hands off using them. Absolutely over the moon with them, thank you!
