Anyone having a hard time with the lid getting stuck?

Because its steel it reacts to temperature change quickly, try putting the lid on at a slight angle to help, and don't let it sit before removing the lid if its filled with ice. Hope this helps

Is the shaker dishwasher safe?

Hi there, Yes all the tools are dishwasher safe. But we suggest wash by hand and it will last longer especially for black color.

Will the metalic coating flake?

I've had mine for more then 6 months, and it hasn't flaked despite dropping it a few times, it is important to note that I have only washed it by hand as suggested by the user manual though
