I use this palette every day, the one in the middle.

First, let me say that I really like this product. I use it as eyeshadow, contour, and the gold frost is gorgeous over lipstick. It's a neat little compact with pans that hold a decent amount of product. The product is buildable and fairly long lasting, depending on how you use it. The cruelty-free aspect is also a big selling point for me. What I have a problem with is that this product came wrapped in bubble wrap with a computer generated label slapped on it and it reeked of cologne. It came in a box with several other items and EVERYTHING in the box stank. Once I figured out where the smell was coming from, I removed the bubble wrap and found that the product box as well as the actual compact stank as well. I threw away the product box and stuck the compact outside to air out. This was almost two weeks ago and it still stinks. I can't bring this in the house because it literally stinks and I don't want it contaminating my other makeup. If I want to use it, I go outside with my brushes and a mirror.My main concern is: Is this really from Beauty Bakerie or is it a knock-off? I can't imagine a company sending something out steeped in cologne like this. I received it through Vine, but if I had paid for this I would send it back. This is no better than if something has been sitting in a haze of cigarette smoke. I want to love this product, but I'm very skeptical about its origins, unfortunately.

This comes bubble wrapped nicely. It has an outer cardboard sleeve. The back of both the cardboard sleeve and the palette have product information on it. Ingredients are included. It is made in China. Beauty Bakerie is cruelty free (approved by PETA). This is vegan and vegan and gluten free.Like all Beauty Bakerie products, the packaging is cute. It is a little palette. There’s a window in the front where you can see the shades. It has magnetic closure. There is no mirror or shade names.It claims to be a “universal shades of contour, bronzer, and highlighter.” I am fair skinned, so I won’t be able to use the highlighter as a highlighter. If I use a very light hand I might be able to get away with it. I could mix it with a blush to make a blush shimmery. I couldn’t use the middle shade as a bronzer. It is far too orange for me. I would use it as a blush. The darkest shade works as a bronzer if I am very light handed.I did finger swatches on my clean forearm (no lotion, primer, etc.). I swiped the highlighter shade onto my arm and then what was left on my finger I blended next to it to show what just a little looks like.The powders are soft, smooth, and have good pigment. If I use a light hand, I can get away using the brown as a bronzer or contour. I like it isn’t overly warm toned. The middle shade works as a warm, orange kind of blush for me. The highlighter is soft, smooth, and almost creamy feeling. It is too dark for me. But, like I said, I can use a VERY light hand and get away using it. I can also mix a tiny bit of it with blush to use as a blush topper. I like using it as an eyeshadow because it has such a wet, metallic look to it.Overall, I wouldn’t call these “universal shades of contour, bronzer, and highlighter.” I’m fair skinned and can make it work, but I wouldn’t really recommend this for any one who is fair skinned unless you like to have a more orange colored bronzer or blush and don’t mind a gold highlighter or to use it as an eyeshadow. It’s nice quality and a nice formula for the powders and highlighter, but I just don’t think it’s universal. If you’re medium to dark, this would probably work better for you. But hopefully my swatches let you judge for yourself! For quality and performance, I give it 4 stars. I took a star off for them calling it universal when I don’t think it it.

This palette arrived exactly as shown and anticipated - no bad surprises. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of it! It's much larger than I might have expected, each color is the size of of a typical blush product. The container is also very durable and well made. The colors are highly pigmented but creamy enough that you can blend them with ease.The brownie color is great for contouring, shadow lining, and contouring your eye crease. The rust color makes a great blush for me! I have fair freckled skin with neutral undertones and warm reds are really my blush jam!The gold shade is the least versatile shade for me, but that's my skin being the issue not the product. The gold has a good bit of shimmer to it (shimmer, not glitter) and my skin is too light in the fall and winter months to "hold" this as a highlighter or shadow and still look natural. Natural is what I go for! That will not be a problem for most of you reading this I don't think; in the winter I am the lightest or 2nd lightest foundation shade out there. I am however, really looking forward to using it this summer when I have more of a tan and bump up to the 3rd for 4th lightest shade on the charts.Overall this is a great product and I would absolutely recommend it! It's also a great value at this price point - the quality is comparable to premium department store compacts I've purchased in the past for $40+. I look forward to checking out other products from this company as they seem to me to be offering a premium product at an affordable price!

Brownie Bar PaletteThese colors are gorgeous and you get three large pans that measure 1.5 x 1.5 inches. The colors are very suitable for medium to darker skin tones. The blush is a nice warm orange-red which compliments warmer skin tones perfectly. The highlighter is coppery gold and not overly sparkly - it has just enough shimmer to highlight not blind. The contour powder is perfect as well in the right shade - not too brown and just enough tan to add a bit of glow. These shades are super blendable and buildable. They are highly pigmented so you only need a light touch. I love that they last all day too!
