If you're looking for a slim case that protects your phone...this isn't it. Sure, it'll protect your phone, but it really isn't slim. It's not super bulky, but it's not slim.Other than that though, this is a pretty nice case, if you don't mind adding a bit of bulk. Which in my case, I do.Definitely would protect your phone in a fall, it's very sturdy. The little kickstand is cool (although, it will fall out every time you remove your phone from the case – it's easy to put back in however). The kickstand is not very sturdy, so you're not going to want to bend it or twist it too much.If you're looking for a Slim Spigen case, I'd recommend the Liquid Crystal: https://www.amazon.com/Spigen-Crystal-Protection-Premium-Clarity/dp/B01M1DR187I've dropped that one a whole bunch and it always protects the phone. Plus, it feels great in the hand, and is the slimmest thing you can find that will actually protect your device. If you really want slim, you could go for one of the MNML cases. But they don't really provide anything besides scratch protection.

Here's my review after owning and using the case for 3 days.Overall Design: I like the design and feel that it has a nice 2 texture approach that looks different from the top and bottom. The two materials blend well together with a sloping design so that it is pleasant to the touch without feeling like two pieces slapped together. I believe that they did a very good job on the fingerprint sensor. I can feel for the sensor and it feels nice to slide my finger down the sloped ridge. Very comfortable for every day use. This case adds an acceptable amount of bulk while feeling solid. Some commentators said it felt like a standard TPU case and I could not disagree more. I am very familiar with TPU cases and this feels like par rubber and part soft plastic. All of the input holes have ample room for insert and removal.Kickstand: This is where it gets a minor ding that made me think between a 4/5 star. I really wanted a phone case with a good kickstand. This kickstand feels shaky at first however, it seems like it does a good job. I am very happy that it is not difficult to pop out like cheaper cases however, it still clicks in place when you are done. I would have liked for the kickstand to be slightly higher on the phone so that it is not quite as upright but it's nice that you can flip the phone upside-down and still use the kickstand at a different angle. Time will tell if the kickstand holds up. If the kickstand breaks, I will be disappointed and need a new case and lower my rating.Overall: Very nice case and I'm happy with it. I like that the entire case has angled edges anywhere that I touch.I would recommend this product. I don't know what I would really want more in a case other than a little bit more color design options.Edit 10/27: Still enjoying the case and the kickstand is holding well. Big bonus for me, the bottom half of the case is magnetic metal (can attach to a magnet). The reason this is big for me is due to the fact that I use a magnetic phone holder in my car and hence no longer need to worry sliding the metal between my case and phone. For me this is an upside but others it may not be?Edit 11/10: This is the case for me. Kickstand is still a champ and has 0 damage to it. The case still looks like new and has not taken any scratches or wear/tear that many other cases have. I am still thrilled with the case and would recommend it to anyone looking for a case with a kickstand.

Three to four stars. Four stars just for the concept of the kickstand built in and the look, three for everything else. Fresh out of the box the kickstand fell off. I managed to put it back on and then when I inserted my phone I had a heck of a time getting the kickstand to come out. It was much tighter once the phone is installed so hopefully it wouldn't fall out again. However I'm not sure if I will keep it for two reasons. One I'm not sure how well it will protect the phone because a little over half of it has a harder outside plastic covering and I wonder how well it will protect the phone if it lands on the side that only has the softer plastic cover. Second of all it is slippery as hell and I think there's a very high likelihood I'm going to drop the phone a lot more now. If it doesn't go back I will update my review.

The rubber part is nice and grippy. It also has a good thickness around the edges that promise to absorb the impact energy of a drop. I appreciate that the edges around the screen are raised enough to keep the screen from contacting any surface you set it down upon if you set it face-down. Even with a screen protector on, the screen is a good millimeter away from the surface. All of the case's holes and apertures line up perfectly with the phone's. I really appreciate that the buttons are still satisfyingly "clicky" through the rubber case. I've had some cases where it's impossible to tell if you're really pressed the button until the phone does something in response. This case lets the buttons' natural tactile feedback through, so you can feel the button actuate.My only gripes are with the plastic shell and kickstand. The plastic shell is very smooth, which makes me concerned that I'm going to loose my grip on it and drop the phone. Fortunately the rest of the rubber is grippy enough that I think it'll make up for the plastic. The kickstand feels a little flimsy, but ultimately should get the job done. If you remove the plastic shell from the rubber, be prepared to catch the kickstand when it falls out. The rubber backing is what holds the kickstand in place. The kickstand does hold nicely in place when folded in, so I'm not worried about that coming loose while the phone/case are fully assembled.In all, I think it's a good case. $30 seems a bit much when you consider the rest of Spigen's line for the Pixel are closer to $15. I don't see why this case should be twice as much as the others.

pros:-the stand is great, use it all the time, really bought this for this specific feature-extremely protective and durable, had it several months with hardly and scratches, and it has survived several falls onto the street, rocks, children throwing, etc with no damage to the phone-good button clicking/reactiveness-the metal backing can be used with some magnet style holders (in the car)-easy access to all portscons:-thick and bulky, heavy. I definitely notice that this adds significant bulk and heft to your ph. its too bad that you get really nice looking phones (although pixel xl is maybe not the greatest looking), thin, etc. and then you have to cover it with a bulky case to protect it.... sigh-miss the textured power button like some other spigen cases (for pixel xl) have-stand can be a bit flimsy

Since getting a smart phone the first time all those years ago I'd always smash the screen with in a month of so and just lift with it till the phone died. Started a new home build and decided I didn't want it to happen again. Phones still in one piece after nearly 2 years!

I used the Spigen slim armour on my old Samsung Galaxy S6 so knew what I was getting with this. In my opinion, Spigen make the best phones cases by quite a distance. I haven't used this enough myself yet on this phone but the stand clip on my old phone came slightly too loose and used to flap about unintentionally. Can't see this has happened yet though here as I've only just put it on.

Love it, kickstand flips back too easy though.

Really great case. I've always been a fan of Spigen.If there were one thing I could ask for them to improve on this case, would be to add an indented spot under the hard shell to install a metal plate for a magnetic mount. It's not a big deal, and I can still stick one there no problem, but it does make the case bulge just enough to make it not sit flat on the table (but it also means I can spin my phone, whee!). I've seen Spigen put that indent on some of their cases, so I'm not sure why they wouldn't on this one.Other than that, no complaints!
