Time consuming build, but a beautiful result
Building this took several hours and it arrived in two boxes. I definitely recommend two people due to the size. I had my teenage son separate out everything before we started, but we built it together. We built the four walls inside our house, then moved outside to put them all together. The wood is stained and stamped with the assembly letters, which I liked more than peeling off stickers that make a mess after you are done, but it is a bit tougher to see the letters (dark grey on light grey). Make sure your lighting is good when building. The wood is super soft so you have to go very slow when the final screw tightening is done or risk splitting the wood. The wood staining is very visually appealing, but allows for chips or scratches more easily if rubbed against something too hard. Situational awareness is key in this regard. We didn’t go with the standard configuration of shelves/boxes inside but it was very easy to design this to your specific needs. The softer wood also allows for easy customization if you put something other shelves or what have you inside. We ended up cutting a section out of wire out and installing a shelf upside down for the window entrance, for example. You can also easily remove wired sections if you want since the wire is attached with wood staples, but since I knew my location was permanent, I opted to just cut directly into it.We installed this under a covered porch with concrete underneath so we put down a faux grass rug and we also left the roof flat, instead of angled, which saved a small amount of time and doesn’t effect anything because of our placement. At 5’7” I easily fit through the door so I can change things around to suit my current front porch holiday theme. This was a big selling point for me, to not have to duck through the door to enter. We also bought a combination sliding bolt lock for the door so no one could just walk up and open it without the code since we live in a neighborhood and I didn’t want someone possibly walking up and taking my cats. The other small side doors I screwed shut, but this can easily be undone for possible future expansion. All four of our cats already love this catio. It allows them to go outside to view birds and nap in the sun while being protected. All four can easily use it at once and I feel it’s a must so that my indoor cats can experience the outdoors as much as possible. I’m so happy with the beautiful result.

Very nice for the money!!
Before I bought this, I was reading a lot of the reviews. Some said the instructions weren’t good. Some people said it took them eight hours to put together with 2 people. Some reviews said it was really flimsy. Well, I’m here to tell you that this one person (ME) put this catio together in under 3 hours. It’s not flimsy at all. Sure it’s not oak but once it’s all put together, it’s not flimsy at all. The instructions were great. All the pre-drilled holes were in the right places everything matched together perfectly. I did hear from people that if you don’t seal it, it gets moldy and will rot after a few years. But I’m completely happy with it. I think it’s great for the money.

Decent
This is a decent catio and gives our boys a safe place to be outside. And nice viewing spot to watch the bi. Lots of opinions for them to sit/lay on shelves. I gave four stars because the instructions suck. It took two intelligent people over three hours to put together, but we did it. It’s a bit wobbly so we added a piece of plywood to the bottom to stabilize it. And we added casters to the bottom of that so we could move it easier if needed. Plus we put some artificial turf inside to made it more comfortable. There are several doors to open so the cats can get in and out but because we didn’t want to totally block our view of our backyard from the window, we ended up cutting another spot in it to line up with our window open, where we put the cat door into the house. A little extra work but worth it to suit our need/desire.Overall we are happy with it. It is great to let the cats out into it where they are safe.

BEST CATIO FOR MY OUTDOOR CATS
This arrived in 2 boxes and everything was there. Labeling the pieces wasn't the best, but matching sizes up worked for us. It took 3 - 4 hours (my husband is very handy when it come to assembling things, I supervise of course). It did take both of us to put it together. All the latches seem like they should work, though we won't be closing any doors. We love it and it looks so much nicer then what we had for them. We did take the bottom doors off the sides (easily lift off the hinges) so that they can have an easy escape route. Its made of pretty thin wood, but when we moved it to place it was pretty soild. We will be building a base to keep the frame off the ground. The price was a little higher then i wanted to pay, but glad i did. When the weather gets cold we will wrap in a clear tarp to help protect then from wind, rain and snow.Yes, they will have heating pads and plenty of blankets to stay warm. The question is will how long will it take my spoiled kitties use it, stayed tuned!

Best Cat purchase Ever!
Absolutely fabulous and beautiful home for my cats! Looks exactly as portrayed and super well constructed with excellent and precise instructions on how to build it. I absolutely LOVE this unit with the separate panels and the latches for easy access. My cats feel very safe and at ease inside because they feel protected but can see around them.

Worth the price if you don’t have skills.
This unit is smaller than I expected. The directions were not difficult. One door is upstairs down, probably my own fault but if the panels were labeled correctly I might have avoided that. Not very sturdy and not sure of the safety so I will have to keep an eye on my guy. This unit is overpriced for its size and sturdiness, but if you don’t have skills to cut and put together yourself it’s just the right price. It was very stinky when I opened the box, so I left it to air out for a week or so before putting it together. There is a lot of doors on this unit which is nice. There is a few things that need to be added for him to completely enjoy this unit, like ramps. His old age keeps him from jumping and the unit is wobbly so he doesn’t feel secure. Maybe secure it to the ground some how??

My cats love it
my cats love it! Thinking about buying a second one to add to it. The wood is a little light weight. I wish it would’ve been heavier. But it does the job and it looks nice.
