I found this book challenging and helpful. It challenged me to think outside the box and to see situations in life in a totally different light. It's a book I will read many times.

..for me - has been found. I was told, in my request for the way to find a spiritual director was to pray, of course. And, I realize as I sit quietly each morning that Joan Chittister is the best choice for me.I highly recommend her challenging words as well as the format for reflection. It took me a day or two to not race through, but a daily re-read of the "how to use this book" enabled me to find the pace that offers the most contemplative opportunity a book has yet to provide. On day 13, I can honestly say, that each day has been amazingly timed. I've used in "before my work day" setting, for the Sabbath, and now in a week of solitude and silence. All three settings have produced a similar yield of grace.

Came on time. Great book.

My covenant group and has used several of the volumes in this "40-day Journey with . ." series. JoanChittister has been one of my absolute favorites. She is thoughtful and thought-provoking, leading one deeper into relationship with God.
